All Cuban's were receptive? Fidel Castro won with I believe 85 revolutionaries and, at the end, only 16 survived. Besides, Cuba definitely improved since the Batista regime. If this system is emplemented fairly and with consensus, and if plp can see that the system benefits them directly then they will embrace it. And with more ease of citizen involvement i believe plp will accept responsibilities willingly. Because i advocate for govt run companies with employee ownership, and Federal funding for worker cooperatives.

All Cuban's were receptive? Fidel Castro won with I believe 85 revolutionaries and, at the end, only 16 survived. Besides, Cuba definitely improved since the Batista regime. They have a literacy rate that should shame us Americans and, contrary to popular belief, skilled doctors who help everyone. @socomfan555 The Taliban are mostly composed of members of Pushtan tribes, the largest ethnic group native to Afghanistan. So the Taliban are native to Afghanistan. Yes they were/are oppressive, but so is the Allied invasion of Afghanistan. I never said the Taliban were OK, just that what our armies are doing out there is no better and probably less well intentioned. It seems you are wrong and that race is a much smaller issue in Cuba than it is in the US. Although there are obviously racists in Cuba, as there are everywhere, the system and institution of government and governance is clearly not racist.

Like i said im not against corporations or monopolys for that matter. I am for acountability and ethics, and if a corporation OR the govt is not ok with that then to hell with them. If this system is emplemented fairly and with consensus, and if plp can see that the system benefits them directly then they will embrace it. And with more ease of citizen involvement i believe plp will accept responsibilities willingly. Because i advocate for govt run companies with employee ownership, and Federal funding for worker cooperatives.

@markbotv3 Look, the gov. HAS to spend. The problem is not spending, the problem is unregulated spending. Just like the economy, the problem is not a free-market, ther problem s a unregulated free-market. The same goes for health insurance companies, we need them, but we need them regulated.
Yes in part we are to blame, but we can do so little. The most guilty are those that have the POWER to actually do somthing but dnt. Just knw this: in CAPITALISM MONEY=POWER.

@Elchingobean the latest mandate to come down the obama pike is lightbulbs. no american in now allowed to use incandecent light bulbs which cost on avg .60c we now have to purchase the squigly light bulbs which cost on avg $7. that is like 1100% more expensive. now what would YOU say if exxon said it would no longer make available regular grade gas? everybody now had to buy the more expensive supreme gas? YOU WOULD GO APE SHIT!!! even though supreme is only .20c more than reg.
