The police could of put landmines in a no mans land band between two fences. And then used some well aimed mortar rounds on that hill's ridge.

The protestors should of been attacking the pylons with angle grinders (although they would have been fried when the cables hit the ground, but thats for them to judge if the sacrifice is worth it)

You obviously dont like the truth being put out there that lots of you are anarchist criminals, so why dont you explain your ideas for clean, reliable, and affordable electricity generation, bearing in mind that lots of the public can hardly afford to pay their bills anyway.
