You need to flip up the bottom and press it tight. You should not move hand that is pressing and continue twisting with the other hand.

i do this often...the trick to making it perfect is to roll up the top to give the curled look and tuck in the flap sticking out...also you have to twist tighter near the base of the bud as well as near the leaf!

Just so you all know, though it can be difficult at first, foil candy/gum wrappers work too =). I tried using a towel but it wouldn't hold the shape..maybe if it was a thinner cloth (but sturdy)...

Also, if you google dollar origami guitar, those are fun to make too and with a pants and shirt set too you can put on a little show =). Just a few simple (and cheap) gift ideas... (that don't take to long to make on the spot ether...if you can remember how to make them...)
