Wish this video started 10 seconds earlier. It was my big mouth that yelled out LATE FOR THE SKY and he replied OK! An awesome concert and an incredible video. Thanks for sharing this. Did you happen to start the camera rolling a little earlier?
Where were you sitting? I was right in front (3 rows back from stage) a little to the left (JB's right). You got an awesome angle on that video. That was a great show, wasn't it? I had just seen him in Charlottesville VA in August and I got to meet him and hang out before and during the sound check. He is one heck of a nice guy and he talked with my wife and I for about 10 minutes and he even signed my original Saturate album.
@IMAPHILBILLY i was Front Row, to the right of Jackson; camera on my knee so as not to be distracting. That was a GREAT SHOW in Harrisburg, we were lucky cuz it was opening night for the solo tour and it was all so fresh. i had just come from the 25 Anniv Rock n Roll Hall of Fame concert in NYC which was to die for; had met Jackson at an after-show tribute his son did at a NYC Club and was just flying so high!
He is a great guy - easy to talk to; gracious; so talented yet so down to earth.
I wanted to go to that show, but a business trip got in the way. That's why we went to Harrisburg show. That must have been bad ass seeing him with CSN singing the Pretender. When we talked with him in Cville, I mentioned to him I was at the first night of the No Nukes show in '79 and he went on about how much fun that show was to do.
He is completely "egoless" and gracious is the right word relative to his demeanor. Did you get any more videos at the Harrisburg show? How's Ryan's music?
I did put up another video from Harrisburg - the Zevon cover Don't let us get sick. The MSG concert was mind-blowing. it was CSN, Jackson, Bonnie Raitt & James T - doing Teach My Children after CSN & Jackson did The Pretender. John Fogarty, BB King, Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel, Smokey Robinson, Simon AND Garfunkel, Springsteen, etc omg!
It was not Ryan, but Ethan who did the tribute & it was in his hip hop DJ/mixing style & I think even jackson had a tough time "seeing" it. LOL. great time though.
Sounds like NO NUKES all over again. Sorry I missed that!
I got some still pics of the concert in Harrisburg, but I am so glad you took this. Absolutely my favorite JB song ever and it has tremendous meaning to my wife and I. Long story, but it saved us. Thanks again for capturing that moment.
JB in Japan in March. I've been to Osaka where he is playing one of the shows. Really nice place and super cool people.
i think Jackson's songs have saved so many of us, gotten us through so much and I don't know if he will ever be able to grasp that.
If you go to japan I will be sooooo jealous - never been and it isn't in the plans but wow, that would be incredible! if you go, be sure to bring a SMALL digital camera that fits in your pocket ;)
I think you are right. He is so humble, I doubt he realizes the impact he has had on all of his fans. However, he has had to endure a lot of tragedy to bring forth the music that has saved so many.
@IMAPHILBILLY true, he has and as we all get older, we are faced with so much more loss as the years fly by. i think that's why we have Jackson Browne - to help us through it all - he totally gets it without having to "talk" about it - hissongs say it all. enjoy Japan if you go!
Well said. I've been following JB since '73 and his music and messages are timeless. I'm from Philly originally and now in VA. We used to see him all the time at the Mann Music Center, but back then I could only afford "lawn" seats. lol
@josap42 thanks, it was such an awesome experience. i tried to watch with my eyes and position the camera off to the side and down so i could see the real thing as i filmed :)
Thanks for posting song from this show, I was there!!

@IMAPHILBILLY no, sorry, i was trying to be very discreet with the lit' camera i had and to catch Jackson rather than the shout-outs, lol.

That is a genius song and the way he performs it is also genius. For me, music doesn't get any better than this.
