does anyone know how to open the enclosure? when i plug mine in it wont start and i would like to check the hdd with a different case. I pushed the two pins at the bottom which worked pretty well, but the rest is stuck somewhere around the lock symbol :(

@Kiesel It's very common for cheapo cases on external harddrives to fuck up, the hard drive is most likely still in working condition though unless you like dropped it or something. I think its the powersaving adaptors inside which are dodgy. I suggest just breaking it open and taking the hd out and putting it in a new case. If the original case is faulty then who cares if you accidentally break a cord or two? haha good luck!

hi, thanks! got it open and the hdd works. hopefully i just need to find a new adapter and not another case ;)
