I would have been more impressed and you would probably get more benefit if you had played each tone more sustained like a quarter length or so. It would strengthen your lip muscles and you would get more consistent with your breathing. Do another and just hold one single tone and time it.

I'm 16 I can do prob do the high F and sustain it for a long time better yet I can also play the really high Bb then again I'm in better shape and i do breathing exercises for a living.

And don't forget about your tone! Really, your tone is way more important than your range. I guess that's only my opinion, but if you play a double C, it doesn't really mean much unless you've got good tone on it.

Focus on your air speed and tone (Air speed is everything!!!)
Do not:
Go buy fifty new mouthpieces
Tinker with anything on your trumpet
Really, there are no shortcuts to playing high. It's all about your air speed. If you play correctly and direct your air correctly, you'll be well on your way. Just don't cheat or cut corners. Check out "The Art of Brass Playing" too. Good stuff.

@Lchsmb2009 lol, you dont increase your range through pieces of music, you get it from countless hours of practicing, try playing g,f#,g,a,b,c,e,g, now you should be above the staff, take it from there once you are comfortable with it and
attempt it everyday

And don't forget about your tone! Really, your tone is way more important than your range. I guess that's only my opinion, but if you play a double C, it doesn't really mean much unless you've got good tone on it.
FYI, I'm a freshman college student at Illinois State. Music Ed major...

Arbans Lip Slurs
Lots of mouthpiece buzzing
Focus on your air speed and tone (Air speed is everything!!!)
Do not:
Go buy fifty new mouthpieces
Tinker with anything on your trumpet
Really, there are no shortcuts to playing high. It's all about your air speed. If you play correctly and direct your air correctly, you'll be well on your way. Just don't cheat or cut corners. Check out "The Art of Brass Playing" too. Good stuff.

i really appreciate the little grammar lessen you just gave me. you forgot the contraction doesn't has an apostrophe and the fact i didn't capitalize anything. i find it hard to believe you missed that obvious one but being the clever guy you are you must have been to excited to form a awesome response to catch it.

1. "Lesson" has an 'o' in it
2/apostrophe [(uh-pos-truh-fee)] - A mark (') used with a noun or pronoun to indicate possession (the student's comment, the people's choice) or in a contraction to show where letters have been left out (isn't, don't, we'll)

i would have been way more impressed if he didnt start losing tone after about 250... it got like horrible around 750... then better around 850... then bad around 900... 960 was terrible... and the countdown hurt my ears... but i mean i gotta still give him credit for 1001 in a row...
