I was 9 years old also, but living in Lagos Nigeria. So I didn't here much about it, nor did I even know who the Beatles really were then. Seemed like some kind of priests or something at the time to me.
I remember in the early 80s watching a doco on them when I was about 9 or 10 and hearing that one of them had died from something. At the time I thought it was Paul McCartney, cause they were showing his face on screen playing Let it Be. I cried. It wasn't him though - it was Stuart Sutcliffe

Thank you for posting this video. Look, I, like that guy know that Yoko is like the Maruishi, and wants it to be happy. But John dieing is like, or maybe worse than when Martin Luther King Jr. was shot. Mark Chapman didn't only shoot John, he shot all the hope that John worked so hard to build up in all of us. And just think how peaceful and free the world would be if he was still alive to give us hope in love, and peace. I actually cried during this video.
he maybe gone (saddening i know) but his message and love for our race and the hope for us all did not go with him its still here we just have to keep it going
why did that person shoot him we all will probably never know i hope the person who shot him will rot in hell he had no right to take his life..... john was a good man!

He's lucky he made it that far, I believe he got most, if not all of his message of love out. He may have died many other ways besides a natural death by now. It's great to see Paul still rocking.
fuck you chapman if you arent dead ima kill you

We grew up with this person and to us it is like seeing a family member murdered right before your eyes.
That kind of pain and hurt does not go away. Ever.
