i'm sorry, but if i'm brutally honest, i feel like he's more imitating Tennant, rather then being the doctor in his own way. He doesn't strike as that confident and direct doctor as Tennant did. I think he should try to be more his own style..

@GOTHICforLIFE1 I thought something similar at first, but as you watch you realize he's very different from Tennant (God bless that beautiful man), and is still very confident. David was also very sporadic and all over the place, but in a different manner. It's confusing, but they are different. Still, I see where you can think that.

@GOTHICforLIFE1 Smith channels an alien Doctor, Tennant channelled an angsty teenager, everything that Smith channels is that of the Doctor, not Tennant's Doctor, the elements that are apparent in his performance are from ALL of them, any similarities they have can be found in every incarnation, too many people expect Smith to be a totally different character, but he's supposed to be playing the same character, just a different incarnation, there were more Doctor's than Tennant you know.

@TheTwoHeadedPyro You should know about Regeneration and different companions already then. IN series 1, the 9th Doctor regenerated at the end of it into the 10th Doctor: David Tennant. He continued with Rose in Series 2. At the end of Series 2, Rose is trapped in a parallel world. In Series 3 he travels with Martha Jones, but drops her off at the end of that Series.

Series 4, he picks up Donna. Then he travels with her.

Series 6 just ended on tv. You got a lot of catching up to do.
