  • @Elfinio In the LDS church we have additional scripture and latter-day revelation that helps shed light on these difficult-to-understand passages in the Bible.

  • @Elfinio Good question Elfino...the answer is obvious. LDS got this after Joe Smith became a polytheist.

  • Hahahaha Fonzie got owned XD

  • @Elfinio that is the point of this video my friend. The Bible says nothing about Jesus and Satan being brothers. Your point on the grandfather of the mormon god is well taken. In fact, I have not ever met one mormon that could explain who the god of their god is or was. And the Bible SPECIFICALLY states that Jesus is creator of all things not a created being. God bless

  • @TackleboxMinistries Have you read A Marvelous Work and a Wonder, by LeGrand Richards? It helps explain these difficult-to-undestand passages in the Bible, the ones that are often misunderstood. I read that when I was first investigating th Mormon church.

  • @cindybin2001 I have not. But I will gladly check into it. Btw, you mentioned that you once were checking into the Mormon church. Where did your research lead you?

  • @TackleboxMinistries As I've said, I researched the Mormon church over 30 years ago when I was trying to learn something about it. This was before I was a member. I had a hard time finding anything about Mormons--it was before the Internet, and I wasn't ready to talk to missionaries yet. I finally found some info in Christian book stores, but it was all anti-Mormon! I read it and knew it couldn't be right. Finally I found A Marvelous Work and a Wonder in our local library.

  • These wicked Anti-Mormons are such LIARS!! Yes, Neil Armstrong landed on the moon...... so have 11 other astronauts. But the Quaker-like men live on a DIFFERENT part of the moon!! Yeah, that's plausible!!

  • @CounterCultureLives Quakers on the Moon? no way dude it was claimed it for Mars years ago and has the Amish running things there..get your facts straight Earthling.

    Sincerley

    Marvin the Martian Esq.

  • @Gideon6640man Are those "Lamanite" Amish Martians?? Or, Nephite Mennonites Martians??

  • @CounterCultureLives Nephite of the garden variety mixed with Mennonites....and few are diabolic lesbian meter maids......yes thats it.

  • @Gideon6640man I'm pretty severely dyslexic. No kidding, I first read your comment, and I thought it read "diabetic lesbian meter maids".

  • @CounterCultureLives Oh heaveans no they are diabolic and they look like Rosies O'Donnel.

  • Of course they conflict when you are using the NASB version of the bible. Tell you what - let me design a bible by committee as was done with the NASB and the NIV, and I'll make it say what that group thinks it should say given the political pressures of the day.

Matthew 3:17 - And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

    Was Christ throwing his voice?

The Trinity is a ridiculous concept invented by foolish men... No biblical support at all...

  • My best friends Mormon, Im Pentecostal. He and I are both proud we have not allowed our doctrinal differences to come between our friendship. Oh sure, he wishes Id become a Mormon and I wish he'd.... get saved. Ha! (Settle down folks... that's an inside joke). People ask: "Whats truth?" Can we all agree that "truth" (ends up being), what we personally believe it to be then THATs what we follow and try to convince others of. One of many great things about truth... it will prevail.

  • MORMONS will say ANYTHING, they will do ANYTHING just to get by... So much for brotherhood... be anything, just don't be a single mum in Salt Lake City ... the families WILL see you as a threat and because of this.. you'll be shunned in a politically correct way... no invites...

  • The LDS answer to Biblical inconsistency is quite simple. If the Bible disagrees with the later teachings of Joseph Smith or his successors, then it must be a corrupt translation or else God has changed His mind.

According to the LDS, God changes His mind frequently. He once favored polygamy; now He no longer insists on it if it violates the law. At one time, according to the LDS, God did not want black people inside His temples. Now God likes black people (and the IRS tax exemption).

  • I'm sorry but in the last bit of this offensive video they make a comment about how the BoM has had corrections, well let me ask how many gospels have been left out of the bible? Who choose to exclude them or include them and if I'm not mistaken the one's included have have nurmous changes to them haven't they?

  • @Fonzie223 Sorry it has taken so long to respond to this...TBM has been oh hiatus. Your comment brings up a great question....how can we know what truth is? How do you know truth? Who or what defines truth?

  • @TackleboxMinistries

When Jo Smith 'translated' the plates using the urrum and thummum, the Main rule was a translation of a word can continue IF and ONLY IF the translation is true and correct. The Seer stone would NOT continue until the transcriber translated 100% correct. IT ABSOLUTELY follows that every word of the BOM WAS 100% at the time of translation. Otherwise it would not have been possible to complete ... NOW it's allowed to be changed????

  • @Fonzie223 Funny your the one supporting attacking other religions and you in your own attack state your own Hipocrisy, then attempt to diswad your behavior on some elses believes...... How much do you know about the men who were prophits who are in the bible? Do you know of any man who has not sinned in one form or another including your prophits. This video is offensive, misleading and wrong.

  • @Fonzie223 Yes I do know of a man who have never sinned. His name is Jesus.

1Peter 2:22 “He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth.”

2Corinthians 5:21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Apart from Him, everyone else has sinned...even the writers of the Bible. Again, I ask....in light of the fact that(except for Jesus) all have sinned, how can you know what is truth and what is not?

  • @Fonzie223 What hyporcisy you are guilty of here indeed. Your church sends missionaries to peoples houses and tells them for hours that all the Christian Churches,Creeds and Bibles are wrong, then when you come across a Christian who knows his Bible they cut and run....wow, is that what you are about? You and FAIRLDS.ORG, the Millets and Tanners of the world are the REAL face of Mormonism and not Donnie and Marie. So be SPECIFIC on the video that is wrong,Ive read the actual quotes have u?

  • @Fonzie223 We know that the Bible is true because it has been proven, over and over again. Things are now coming to pass that the Bible prophesied of many years ago. Jesus upheld the law and the prophets, so it would be a fearful thing to speak evil of God's anointed. If your faith isn't based on the scriptures, then it isn't of Jesus. Jesus said, He who believeth on me as the scriptures have said......John 7:38.

  • @Fonzie223 No inspired Gospels were left out only the Gnostic ones were because they are not Christian period. No as to the "changes" in Matt,Luke, Mark & John please show us ..out of the over 5,000 manuscripts fo the NT(that;s 5,000 more than the BOM btw) we have not ONE doctrinal change. Not but "differences" i,e a name Mattheus can be Matthus and that is what the type of "changes" that exist in the text. The BOM has MAJOR ones with names, doctrine etc...and I can prove it. your turn

  • @Fonzie223 Fonzie there is NO OTHER Gospel except the one preached by Paul in the NT .My question is this, IF the BOM has the EVERLASTING GOSPEL then why did not Joseph Smith include it in the BOM? Why did Joseph Smith excluded the Song of Solomon in his Inspired Version?

  • 5:10 Where in the Bible is translation mentioned?

If for something to be unBiblical means that it it's not in the bible then youtube is unBiblical and we are all going to hell for using it.....AAAAAAaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh...

  • 2:49-3:13 The verse did not say they were a false prophet nor claiming to be a prophet. It said "When a Prophet speaks...." A prophet can have his own opinion and express it. I believe the book of Jonah is proof enough for that.

I and awfully confused by the title of this vid. Where is the Bible's opinion? These are the opinions of men as shown in the above scripture usually beginning with the phrase "that means..."

  • The video is has its title becasue it contains a few Biblical references that blatantly oppose LDS doctrine. The idea is to get the truth out there. I am not sure what the post about translations is suppose to mean but if you are referring to the issues of how many times the Book of Mormon has been altered, if Joseph Smith's translation was divinely inspired...dont you think God is big enough to have done it correctly the first time?

  • "Where in the Bible is translation mentioned?" I believe I asked. I'm looking for scripture and verse.

God is big enough to have done it correctly the first time; but God didn't translate the Bible, men did and men are imperfect and error.

These are the opinions/interpretations of men usually beginning with the phrase "that/this means..."

  • This has some truth. The difference is this: the translation of the Bible in it's original text was Hebrew, Greek, and Arabic. Languages do change. But the message of the Gospel does not. The issues with the translation of the Bible has to do with the translation from the original text, ususally do to the difference in languages. For example there are 3 words in Greek that mean love but we use the word love to describe all 3. Joseph Smith, however, translated straight to English.

  • With BM, there is no issue with "mistranslation" from the original language because he translated into English. Why then, have so many changes been made to Smith's allegedly Divinely Inspired? Is God not perfect? the Bible stands on its own. How many changes have been done to BM and Mormon doctrin since Smith originally penned them? They certainly are not translational errors. If a work is cannonized scripture it is God Breathed.

  • 2 Timothy 3:16All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

  • @TackleboxMinistries Like I said men are imperfect and error. Printers and scribes tend to add punctuation where there was none add words to try and correct grammar when is wasn't incorrect and one time they accidentally removed a hole section from the book. A teacher of mine has his binding on upside down on his Bible.

Smith was not the scribe or the author of the book but one who breathed the words in this dispensation.
