Britains Lord Balfour gave the land of Palestine to the Jews saying it was a land without people for a people without land, but it was a lie. Bit by bit the Zionists took the land away from the Palestinians, so that now they have only 22 percent left of the original land. This is not the best land but the worst. Still the Israelis are not satisfied. They want all of it. First the Palestinians tried peaceful protests, now they try these bombs. That is the root of the problem.

OK. All I can say is: go to independent, primary sources to get to the truth of the matter. I mean, for instance, investigative journalists who aren't embedded with the military, aid workers, weapons inspectors, whistle blowers, academic researchers and the like. Also go to multiple news sources on the Net and piece together bits of information to get a whole picture, checking refs and sources. Ignore the mainstream media. Learn to recognise linguistic techniques of persuasion. Peace.

This is something I'd be surprised if you knew about as it went virtually unreported in the Western mainstream media. The International Atomic Energy Authority (IAEA) recently passed a resolution calling on Israel to join the Non-Proliferation Treaty and open up its facilities to nuclear inspection. The US tried to block it. Having failed to block it, the US voted against it. It passed anyway. Israels response? Two fingers to the IAEA.

OK, but what's your take on this? Whenever Israel attacks schools etc, the IDF say militants were hiding in them. Palestinians say the IDF deliberately targeted citizens. Who so we believe? Well, on 6 Jan 09, a girls school was attacked (40 civilians killed, 55 injured). The United Nations Relief and Works Agency happened to be on the spot. @Arik1989 You have cited a passage from the IDF code of conduct but not anything from the Hisbollah equivalent. Did Nasrallah actually say that? I am sceptical. Ahmadinejad was widely reported as saying Israel should be wiped off the map, and it turned out - I looked into this - he was talking about the Israeli REGIME (rezhim-e) and said nothing about any map. The onus is on you to provide the quotation, since it's your point.
