  • "Damnit, we cant hold out! Enemy reinforcements will be here soon, what should we do!?"

"Inoue? Argh, where the hell is he!? ZEROOO!?"

"Fight to your last breath! Stop at nothing! Because if they break through here, our forces will collapse completely!"

"Its not that tohdou isnt a brilliant military leader, he simply lacks the incredible charisma zero posseses. We need him, he can't run out on us now!"

"Oh zero, have you really abandoned us? Have you abandoned Japan?"

    Brilliant.

  • Better (everything important): Code Geass

  • AAAHHHH MAAAN! why'd I listen to this and Continued story again? now I'm sad... ALL OVER AGAIN T.T still fantastic show

  • To end the debate on whether or no he obtained the code; he did not. A person that obtains the code loses their original geass. He used his geass on nunnally and a bunch of other people after charles is killed; if he really did obtain the code he would no have been able to do that. Sorry guys, i really want him to be alive too.

  • @glaczor well they did that so you can decide to interpret the ending as you please. Some people like that lelouch died, others, like me, believe he's still alive. At the very end scene, you see C.C. talking while looking up at the sky, she asks lelouch a question, originally, you'd think she's talking to him symbolically, because he's dead, but a lot of people believe the guy driving was lelouch, his face is masked because everybody on the earth is supposed to believe he's dead.

  • Wether he died or not, the ending still made me cry...

  • This anime, this great story, has changed my life in such a way that i can not explain it maid me look at life a different way before i look at life as being nothing but misery and death, i felt before i watched this anime that life was a figment of some ones imagination where in there mind we're nothing but there toy, but after i watched it felt something special in my heart i no longer fear death or misery misery and death is not the only essence happiness and life is to and thats what i can

  • @Nckcooksey explain how its changed me....

  • Why people say that Lelouch died? He achieved code geass, it is impossible for him to die.. He brought peace in the world and settled down with C.C

  • When Lelouch was stabbed by Suzaku at the end, his Code was activated, that's why Nunnally got his memories when she touched him, just like Lelouch did when he touched C.C. This confirms that he has the Code, but unlike C.C and Charles, who lost their Geasses because the people who contracted them died, Lelouch didn't obtain C.C.’s Code (having a code means you're immortal) and kept his Geass, while having the Code, which he obtained from killing Charles, Lelouch therefore achieved CODE GEASS.

  • @AllHeilKitler Lelouch did not get Charles's code, because Charles was consumed by the collective unconscious not really killed by Lelouch :) But does that mean that by killing a person with a Code (Immortal) you get the Code from them? And if this is true that means Lelouch has a Code, is immortal and lives -.- Which f*cks up the story or atleast the great ending :(

  • The reason Lelouch beats Light is that he never lost his senses. He never strained from his path because he wanted to become some god-like creature, Lelouch actually welcomed death, for the better of the world.

  • Lelouche>kira. Lelouche explains at some point that a forced peace isn't really peace it's just people living in fear that if they do something slightly wrong they'll die exactly what Russia under Stalin was like and exactly what light's crime free world would have achieved

  • lelouch vs light is old, not to mention cliche. Lelouch vs L :D

  • #6: Both animes state early on in the beginning that the power will change and take over the user. While both of them commit atrocities with their powers, Light falls to the power of the Death Note and Lelouch, altho he can't control it's function, does not increase his need to order people any more than is necessary for his direct goals. This is because of their basic natures and motivations. Lelouch reaches power for the sake of losing it for the salvation of men. Light looks down on others.

  • @MayzeSigSzalay I didn't read a single thing you wrote, but the fact you took so much time to compare fucking anime on a youtube comment section is fucking rediculous.

Watch the show, stop being a choder lol.

  • Why CG & DN can NOT be compared #4: Opposite symbolism usage. Light claims he wants to be God and purify the world and he's using an instrument of the devil (Ryuuk, who double-crosses him) and wants to force the world into obedience (like Satan wanted). Lelouch however claims to have made contract with the devil BUT he often says things like "lay your sins on me" and he is symbolically Jesus: dying on a cross (brit. flag) with virgin mary Nanally at his feet and 12 disciples on death row.

  • Why CG & DN can NOT be compared #3: People are often saying that Code Geass strays off the plotline and brings in too many characters and involves too many people with Geass and should stay within tight parameters like Deathnote does. However CG in its nature must bring in loads of people because it's about world war and Orders. It's used to show the expanse of Britannia's influence and then Zero's influence; whoever has the more ppl, even extras, on their side, has the advantage.

  • Why CG & DN can NOT be compared #2: Not only are their motives different (Lelouch for Nunally and Light for his God self thing) but they hate Different things about the world. Light hates lowlifes and criminals; Lelouch hates the higher-ups who exploit and abuse the "weak". Their hatred is for opposite things.

  • Code Geass and Death Note really can NOT be compared as much as they are. I need to rant about this. 1: Lelouch and Light are both evil* geniuses set out to change the world, but even then, Lelouch's abilities are in tactical warfare and politics and psyche of the masses; Light's are in intricate murders one by one and mental deception. Altho there are times when their mental abilities overlap as Light uses mass hysteria as a means of control and Lelouch outwits Schneizel.

  • Yes, your highness!

  • Comment removed

  • Good

  • <3 to my favorite anime...EVER

  • I watch the anime and it is so cruel for Lelouch for the first time, but he tok geass and try to make the better world for human, not like his father and his brother, Charles and Schneizel. Actually his mother also join her husband wants, and make Lelouch and Nunally alone.

But at the forst time Lelouch said that, this is for Nunally sake and then he change into the new world..

All Hail Lelouch!!! #we love you, Lelouch!

  • All Hail Lelouch!!!

  • in my opinion Lelouch is better than light, he's only goal was build a world where he and his sister can live and the last scene made him reach the top , no one would sacrifise himself to save a pathetic world but he did . ALL HAIL LELOUCH

  • I guess what we remember the most is the end, and if we look the code geass and death note ones, code geass wins without any doubt.

  • Better Personality: Lelouch Better goals: Lelouch Better intelligence: Light Better epic laugh: Light Better victories: Light Better Final Victory: Lelouch Better EXECUTED plot: Death Note Better BASIC plot: Code Geass Better ending: Code Geass Better maximum filler-free episodes: Death Note Coclusion: Death Note >< Code Geass Now stop fighting about it.
  • The voice of an angel...

  • Happy Birthday Sweet Terrorist, Dear Emperor. Thanks for having changed our lives 5/12 All Haill Lelouch Lamperouge Vii Britannia

  • its all true for Lelouch>Light

but i still prefer Light and the Death Note..

  • The smartest people die, and the foolish people still live on.

    R.I.P Light.

    R.I.P Lelouch. ;(

  • @lucagaming23 I can help you with one of them :)

im telling lelouch is not dead. he is way too smart for that!

in the dvd is a different ending were you can see lelouch is riding the cart were C.C lies on!

    ALL HAIL LECLOUCH! :D

  • @jarondj You have got me with that! XD

  • @lucagaming23 LoL! LeLouch never died C= Watch the origal japanese ending ;)

  • @EminaWitch the real japanese ending? link it please.

  • @EminaWitch Yeah, i have seen it...

*Some smart people still live on* |XD

  • @lucagaming23 Why everyone thinks hes dead he is not He obtained Code and Lives together with pica girl as immortals. he only made the world belive that he is dead. C.C wanted to die cause she had no one everybody died and she capt on living. So he granted her wish of not being alone! FOREVER!

  • @Vangens I know. Like 5 people have send me a lot of messages like these! XD

  • @lucagaming23 So that means..... KEIMA'S GONNA DIE TOO? Well, thats what my brother thinks.

  • @evaVLOG Who would know... O.o

  • Indeed, Lelouch had never lost it unlike Light.

  • YAY R3 is coming Out Sad No lelouch heres the us website htttp://codegeass.us

  • this song brings sadness and happyness togather it reminds me of all the good and bad times from pizza hut through the black rebelion and finally to lelouchs death and possible living end of the series i wish life could be like code geass where your friends are true and things are set right through great leaders

  • wow cool!!!

  • :*/ Lelouch

  • Too beautiful...

  • What ive been wondering though does anybody other than suzaku C.C and lelouch himself know of what he did with the zero requiem, cause at the end didnt nunally figure it out?

  • Comment removed

  • We need someone to change it... change it all..

  • I remember this song came on when Lulu erased Shirley's memory..

Oh the memories, I want to watch this anime again :')

  • @XDMEGA Have you ever considered the possibility that it's actually Kira's failure that makes for a better show?

  • All Hail His Majesty, King of Britania, Lelouch Lamperouge! May he rest in peace.

  • sorry, but which part of the anime did this song came out? I have been seeing it but don't remember any where that it comes about in the anime......

  • @pwen621 You will hear it if a sad scene comes up

  • @pwen621 First time i heard it was in season 1 episode 13 when he erases shirleys memory so im guessing around that time

  • @natdaman31

Oh ok, i see... Thanks! :)

but i can never catch any lyrics and words in the song played in the anime... so that's why i alway can't identify them, thought they were just instrumental~

  • @pwen621 Well depending on what one you watch, if its eng subs it tells you the song in the ending before the preview for the next episode, Not sure about eng dub though im not a fan of dubs

  • @natdaman31 hmm, ok... i shall pay more attention to it next time. thanks!

  • @pwen621 np! :)

  • The true Dark Knight, he aimed to make the world a better place, but took the toll of never being understood by the rest of society

  • Lelouch was better than Kira. He had a purpose, he wanted to fix what his father did and create better world for his sister. Kira wanted to create "Crime-free" world, but he sacrificed his father for it and nearly his sister. In the end of both Animes, Kira got crazy in the end while Lelouch always found a way to reach his goal. Thus Code Geass > Death Note IMO. I still love them both tho, good animes.

  • @XDMEGA What so special about Death note is that Kira is really the villain in the anime thus giving us perspective and views of the villain and not the usual anime stuff like the hero should be the focus of the story.. Love the two anime too.

  • @XDMEGA

i AGREE, Therefore Code Geass may be better for people who like heart warming anime :') and Death Note could may be recommended for anyone really lol

  • @XDMEGA Light basically did it because he was bored and a twist of fate allowed him to. Lelouch however had a purpose from the very beginning. The Britanians may not have actually been a bad people its just the events that led to his mothers death gave him the hate he needed. He didnt fight for freedom though. He fought for revenge but simply masked his true intentions with his sister, trying to justify his actions. And again im not saying he was wrong but you should never fight for revenge.

  • @XDMEGA True, but Lelouch did not have an enemy as worthy or as epic as L

  • @SalDWow you're retarted, have you even watched code geass? suzaku is a way worse opponent than L, given that light beats L, Lelouch consistently loses to suzaku

  • @jmannnnnnnnnnnnnnnn you're the dumbshit here, suzaku beat lelouch officially once in season 1, but lelouch ends up winning in the end of the series. Light loses in the end of Death Note cause L's work ends up paving the way for Kira to be finished off. Did you even watch any of the two animes? Light didn't beat L in the end, Light lost.

  • @XDMEGA I hope you mean better "morally" because Light Yagami was far more interesting of a character to analyse in my honest opinion. Not to talk down Lelouch by any means, it's just that Light is so freaking deep of a character. His character embodies the age old argument of whether it is OK to kill for sake of the world, an argument that permeates the entire human race. Hell, an entire philosophy is based on it, Utilitarianism.

  • @RAJTeunis I think both characters are the same as far as depth goes. Even though Lelouch's major focus was Nunally and he encountered so many issues along the way he does argue whether it is okay to kill for the sake of the world. I think Lelouch is better because he had Zero. Through Zero he was able to give his speeches and question the world (listen to his speeches).

  • Comment removed

  • @RAJTeunis He argued whether it was okay to turn evil in order to defeat the greater evil revealing the corrupt government. They both say that they are going to destroy the world to create it anew but we see Lelouch plunging himself into darkness as the show goes on but I'm happy that in the end he didnt lose his morals and values. He destroyed the world and left it for Suzaku to fix (let's see how that worked out)

  • @AuroraB286 You're right in that both are very similar story wise. Both are trying to change the world, but they have different ways of going about it. I respect your opinion of Lelouch having mroe character depth but I still believe that Light was portreyed with more emotion and realism than Lelouch. Whether more realism is a plus for you is up to your preference, but for me it makes all the difference. I can personally see the events of Death Note actually happening as opposed to Code Geass.

  • @AuroraB286 And when did Lelouch ever argue if it was OK to actually "turn evil?" I do not recall this. What I remember is that Lelouch was pondering how far he could cross the line in order to get his objectives accomplished, which is less about turning evil and more about making sacrifices.

  • @RAJTeunis Deathnote is very realistic compared to Code Geass that is true. I guess it does depend on which you prefer. Lelouch talks about the tainting your hands with evil to destroy evil and Suzaku talks about changing it from the inside

  • @AuroraB286 See what I mean? Tainting your hands with evil and becoming evil are two different things. Partway vs all the way. Lelouch never contemplated becoming an evil person to achieve his goals.

  • @RAJTeunis but do actions not define us? his actions included killing millions

  • @thelawdog5 Actions only define you from another person's perspective, which is very important in life. Your motivations are what truly define you. The problem is, what you do and what you want to do are not always the same.

  • @AuroraB286 But that's a minor point. For some reason I prefer Death Note, and it was a hard decision to make. It's also a hard standpoint to defend for me.

  • @XDMEGA Your comment actually made me cry. :')

  • @XDMEGA

i have to disagree. yagami's madness is exactly what makes me like him more than lelouch. yagami was only given one weapon far inferior to lelouches, one that cant build armies, yet he manages to get so far. if only yagami had good followers like lelouch, he probably wouldve been unstopable...

i have to agree code geass is better than death note, though its a hard decision for me.

  • @XDMEGA I like both shows equally so I would never say Code Geass > Death Note but I agree with everything you said before that! So Lelouch > Kira

  • @XDMEGA i made this serious mistake of marathoning both animes within 2 days 1 after another. they were both so good that now im suffering from serious post anime depression syndrome.....

  • ALL HAIL LELOUCH!!!

  • :( makes me cry, reminds me of code geass ... and the saddest anime ever (Angel beats)

  • Best song by Hitomi in my opinion, second best being Continued Story, and then Sensibility, and so on. This one brings out so many emotions, just like Continued Story. Hitomi deserves more fame for her music. ALL HAIL LELOUCH!!!!!!

  • I like this song. The song itself feel so sad TT. I really like code geass and lelouch

  • all hail lelouch!!!!! all hail zero. . . .all hail code geass. . . .

  • This song and Continued Story contains so much feelings :'(

  • Two songs in code geass make me sad, mosaic kakera, and now this one...and i have no freakin idea why... :(

  • @CrystalStarize What about 'Continued Story'?

  • @PhnixHAMsta continued story to me, is not that sad, actually, it makes me kinda sad, and happy at the same time....cus the life continues with lelouch what he did to the world, which makes me happy of his cause he did to the world, and this song...well...just reminds me of him...his life...all the stuff's he had to endure instead of being considered as a hero, he was considered as a vilain, for what he did.

  • @CrystalStarize Ahh I see what you mean. Yet, I guess 'Continued Story' does has some feelings of optimism there. The fact that it plays right at the end of the series gives me this 'nostalgic' feeling to it. Such a beautiful melody.

  • @CrystalStarize check continued story ;p it's also good

  • @randomnesss30 You can think of it like he lost his life in terms of Mr. Lamperoce(SP error). He can never go back to his sister or shoot fireworks with his friends like he promised, and all that jazz. All he would have is traveling with C2 trying to find an existence. I'd say someone died that day, you know?

  • nice

  • I LIKE!!!

  • @randomnesss30 That's sad.

    Oh, well.

  • this song plays back every sad moment of this anime

  • All Hail Britannia!

    All Hail Lelouch!

  • Oh I see its the second part. In that case the first must be eng like in the other soundtrack.

  • The lyrics doesnt much. Is the singing english like in the continued story?

  • When did they play this song?

  • this is soo sad!! i get ears in my eyes when i listen to this!!!!!! >.<

  • nice

  • Long live Lelouch vi Britannia...TT-TT

I cry whenever I listen to any of the Hitomi OSTs of Geass...

  • @KuroTsukiKun Yeah, her OSTs are pretty depressing, especially "Continued Story". T_T

  • This song makes you realize just how epic the scope of events was.

  • oh btw ppl, it is your choice to decide if he's dead or not, but i think there's to many facts to prove he's alive.

  • The Tabs in GuitarPro Format:

    w w w .medi afire .com/ file/ gn22t 7xfbg3k 8dw /Stories .gp5

  • I love Lelouch so much!! I just finished the anime, and the ending was so sad! I felt sorry for lelouch, I cried hardcore. :'( ALL HAIL LELOUCH!! <3

  • @msonepiece98 is it just me or does no one get that he's alive?

  • @austinatyahoo I will only be satisfied if i see him in season 3. :P

  • why is it that stuff like the titanic doesn't give me any emotion but this makes me teary eyed? (along with other anime like trigun)

  • @matjacks i agree i still think he lost geass though

  • Its confirmed R3 is coming in 2012 check google animenewsnetwork youtube there are so many places to look so in 2012 we will all scream HELL YAA NOW I CAN DIE IN PEACE XD

  • i read that R3 is completely different from the rest of the show. it takes place in 2017, durring the rise of zero, and focuses on a guy with blue hair and a girl with blondish white hair. go to codegeass.us then click season 3 episodes to get an overview/insight

  • Based of the logic of the show, when he killed Charles he should have got his code making him immortal even when he didn't know it. I'm not going to change that view.

  • @matjacks100 he didn't kill charles, he ordered the "gods" to do it...

  • @Kradantoste So if a king orders his army to commit mass genocide he's in the clear. Not in my book.

  • @matjacks100 obviously we humans are smart enough to get to the conclusion that the one at fault its the one that ordered the kill, but the Code system may be WAY too literally (just saying)

  • @Kradantoste A better example would be a gun/tool, when he uses his geass the person has no choice/input in what they are doing so the action is totally on Lelouch since the subject is just a tool like a gun and he just pulled the trigger. He did that with the gods, so I believe the immortality thing transferred to him. That's what I figured so I'm happy with that.

  • @Deyyhayederaned lol we already know he is alive they announced it at a con and they showed the trailer for R3 your behind lmao

  • That's how sunrise works. They make it seems like he's dead when there are so many possibilities that he may be alive. Your choice, believe he's dead or not :')

  • いい意味でw

  • 鳥肌立ちました。。

  • He's dead... Only those prepared to be kill should kill... He feels that he need to die after all the atrocities he did...

  • 6 persons won't live a long life

  • every time i hear this i cry, its really beautiful,.

  • to lelouch the man who destroyed the world and recreated a new one

    R.I.P

  • @alberto14able You know he didn't die right? He became immortal so he's not dead. Everyone just thinks he is. He fooled you too I see ^^

  • @shadowismykittycat oh i know tht i just like to go with the death scene (its more sad) u3u

  • @shadowismykittycat

The ones fooled are the untrue fans of the series, he is dead. You probably bought into either:

    - The fanmade clips/[ictures

    - The myths surrounding his living

    - If he was alive, this wouldn't be such a great anime with a tragic ending

    - You believe he's alive because of the R3 thing, but that's a Side Story/Prequel and it's not a real Sequel although it is a new season.

    Hope I helped.

    - Wautil

  • @Wautil cause that explains nanaly's pink crane she made for lelouch being on the cart. C.C. wouldn't care about that

  • @Wautil no , i think hes alive

  • Lelouch = anime Jesus.

  • @nyxsyleth1 Lelouch actually succeeded where the real Jesus failed: He brought peace to the world.

  • @Damnagoras1 yes he did succeed :)

  • @Damnagoras1

He failed at the ressurection part though ;p.... or not? Well, the authors willing and story-wise he is dead, but Sunrise has the rights to CG so maybe.

  • @Damnagoras1 fair enough, but he also killed millions. still, I respect Lelouch. Code Geass rules.

  • 6 bieber fans :P

  • @Joselina197 yeah :)

  • 经典的曲子

  • This song defines the meaning of Beautiful music... Is it weird that im a guy and like this song?

  • @DarkManuel006 Why would it be weird at all?

  • @ipsilont7 idk :/

  • @DarkManuel006 song are beautiful and its not wierd..

  • R.I.P. ShadowEXE and gilraen06. Be careful, Lu5ck and GOspecials.

  • Dude the music corporations have been attacking youtube. Since i get my music here I'm seriously considering swarming all of their offices and getting them to put up all the deleted epicness that was stolen.

  • i hope u dont get banned Lu5ck, like shadowEXE and gilraen06 did :/

  • this song makes me, who never cries, cry :'(

  • Sinanosinji1993
