Strumming up and down is easier if you use your wrist instead of your arm. If you weren't doing that already. I play the darkness riff notes as triplet 16th notes (if you're familiar with real music).

it's all about knowing a song man...see i'm starting out too, i'm almost done with the career on hard, but some songs i'm horrible at, its all about practicing and learning how to strum up and down instead of just down that'll help you out too, also try different fingering positions for certain notes, whatever positions you feel will make you hit certain notes easier then do it...good luck

Are you talking about at 5:55? The best I found doing it, is holding red, and just holding the highest note for the 3 different groups of 3. Like at the start it's red, yellow, and blue: just hold red and hit the other 2 as fast as possible lol.

You love the song, but hate the fact that its' hard? lol nice. All i can say is look for a the tip video with some 13 year old in it. Some of the tips are dumb, but the PAM one works good, and you can use Olive Oil as an equivalent.
