His investing genius cannot be denied....but one thing that distinguishes WB from other retails investors is his ability to get on the board of the companies which he invests....just think it over... albeit it does not mean he is not cos his ability to pick stock is impeccable. more than 15 of his stocks/investments have quadrupled and many of which he still holds....

how do you sit around and read an annual report of a Chinese company in 2002, and say WOW - great company, lets buy 500 million USD worth of their stock?

The reason why stock went up 800% is because they were building huge reserves and price of oil per barrel went from $25 when Warren purchased their shares to $100 when he sold the shares. The value of the current assets went up by 400% alone. Warren couldn't know this - so, did he speculate? This man does things we do not have answers to???
