Does the Cobra not have pits for heat sensing or is it being blinded by the hand? It seems like this is the only type snake that is charmed having this done to.
Cobras (Elapids) do not have heat sensing organs. The Infrared heat sensing pits situated between the eye and nostrils belong to the Virperidea and Crotalus species, Pit Vipers and Rattlesnake species. However, may pythons also have heat sensitive pits in an array along the upper and lower mandibles (jaws). I hope that helps...
@nonned1 It's not a pipe, it's their breathing system....it's kind of a tube they breathe through when their mouth is blocked by a rat or whatever when they are eating....the tube pushes forwards and out of their mouth, over the top of the animal they are eating.

They have fangs for removing them would kill the snake pretty fast. They're called venomoids meaning that the venom glands have been removed. Hints the head looks deformed. Nothing like some good old animal abuse. If it was a dog or cat, people would be screaming bloody murder.

I don't think that hamadryad was defanged, cobra teeth are very small hence why he's palming his face. a Cobra's cannot bite a flat palm because of their short teeth. Also you cannot always see a snake's fangs when they open their mouth. Some snake species keep their fangs folded when their mouths are hanging open or when they yawn. Also like I said, Cobra's fangs are small.

Judging from what I saw I don't think that those are venomoids.

The chances of seeing the fangs of an Elapidae (from a distance) is slim. Unlike the vipers, their fangs are fixed, and pretty small. Fixed fangs which measure 1.5cm, would be considered large.

Just watch the Austin Stevens encounter with a much larger King Cobra.
This bloke has obviously done this many times but it takes emense nerve and skill to handle venemous snakes in this way.
Remember due to their size King cobras can deliver huge amounts of toxic venom.
It's likely these snakes have already been milked for their venom otherwise this chap would not attempt what he is doing
There are probably safe and less safe times to play with these snakes
