What is your shoe size ? Because im soon gonna buy these pedals , and i wanna know if i would be able to do heel toe , im around 10 , whats your shoe size ? And have you done any modifications which helps for heel toe ?
soccer shoes are better then those shoes i am wearing, because they copy with more faith the foot anatomy, that is what gives to this technique the accuracy and the definition in the strikes.
thats y i say not wearing shoes helps. because of that and because of the fact i can do faster with no shoes.
i rather play with shoes on tho, because imo the sound comes louder, wich i think overcomes the higher speed
wow lol i was actually thinking of this vid this morning, thanks for linking it to me..good music there...lol after 7 months i finally find it...lol thank you
Very nice :) I use the same technique, but I can't get the sound constant on my acoustic kit :( Need to use triggers to make it sound half good... Or I just need to practise it more! :O
I got a Roland TD-3 elictric drum kit, but when I do it on my Acoustic (A fairly cheap Peavey Starter Kit) I can't get the volume of my kicks even, the first heel kick on my right foot lands fairly hard, then the toe kick is softer, same on the left foot. But if I use triggers, then I can set it so it creates all of the sounds at the same volume :)
That happens because when you hit with your heel, the beater stays close to the skin and doesn't really have the chance to bounce back completely. Then, when you hit with your toe, the beater travels a shorter distance to the head and hence sounds softer. That's where a Vruk pedal comes in handy :) I just ordered mine...

Not bad, it shouldn't really matter with shoes though. You can see my heel-toe video, I have size 12 feet so size is not a factor.

shoes do matter imo,
i can't do that speed with this technique anymore, but when i could the only way i could do it was with shoes off.
just saw ur vid and u do it with no shoes, y dont u try with shoes on?
lucasathus 2 years ago
Could have sworn the vid had shoes, I do wear them when I play live. Puma indoor soccer shoes.
