All the different religions of the world are faith based. I believe that everyone who believes in their faith, will go on to their own reward. There are people that are agnostic, some are aetheisits (forgive my spelling). They will understand in their time that they had chosen the wrong path. We are all believers in God. To have faith in Him, is each person's choice. When Judgement Day comes, the Sheep will go to His right side, while the Goats will go to the left. It all comes down to choices.

@mjpl2902 Part of the reason that God "permits" bad things is because he does not have Middle Knowledge. If he doesn’t, it is not as though he can form an intention, find out what is going to happen if he goes forward, and then decide (based on what would happen if he proceeds) whether or not to go along with it. What this entails is that once God decides to endow creatures with free will, he can’t (upon seeing what they would do) tinker with the circumstances to get precisely what he wants.

Thus while he remains sovereign over the world, creaturely free will is not something he can micro-manage after the fact. What he does is respond appropriately to whatever his creation does, and in those responses brings good out of the evil he allows.

@Arendse007 It is tough. Following Christ is not easy for anyone. But God gives us the strength to do it. Literally. I couldn't do it without Christ's help. We mess up, but I have an Accountability Partner who I can tell when I am tempted to do something and then we to me and pray about it. God will always forgive you if you ask and He will help you to change. Check out Romans 12:2 .
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

@ftwOP It's possible they just don't like the song. I'll be the first to admit that I'm certainly NOT the most devout Christian, nor am I an atheist. I listen to music because it's good, and if it also carries a message then so be it. I believe in the philosophy of "Lest ye harm none, do what ye will", and yet Skillet, Disciple, Write this Down are some of my favorite bands as well as Vital Remains, Cradle of Filth, Cannibal Corpse. Does that make me inherently evil? I don't think so.

As long as one person doesn't force their views upon the other but listens and replies with an open mind and thinks a little before they speak you can learn a lot about different religions, cultures, and even people. @mjpl2902 Part of the reason that God "permits" bad things is because he does not have Middle Knowledge. If he doesn’t, it is not as though he can form an intention, find out what is going to happen if he goes forward, and then decide (based on what would happen if he proceeds) whether or not to go along with it. What this entails is that once God decides to endow creatures with free will, he can’t (upon seeing what they would do) tinker with the circumstances to get precisely what he wants.

Thus while he remains sovereign over the world, creaturely free will is not something he can micro-manage after the fact. What he does is respond appropriately to whatever his creation does, and in those responses brings good out of the evil he allows.

@Arendse007 It is tough. Following Christ is not easy for anyone. But God gives us the strength to do it. Literally. I couldn't do it without Christ's help. We mess up, but I have an Accountability Partner who I can tell when I am tempted to do something and then we to me and pray about it. God will always forgive you if you ask and He will help you to change. Check out Romans 12:2 .

The people there can answer questions and help with maybe some of the stuff you need (accountability, encouragement, and stuff) The Bible tells us not to forsake the gathering of believers (Hebrews 10:25) and I can tell you from past experience it is much harder to do anything on our own :) I will be praying for you...
