@leper73 The funny thing is that both teams actually did win the tag titles at different times (August of '87 for the Rougeaus, and October of '90 for the Rockers, ironically against the Hart Foundation in both cases) only for the WWF to nullify the match shortly after and give the belts back to the Harts both times. This feud really did produce some awesome matches, though.
As a kid, I remember my uncle going to a WWF Show in Oct 89 at Nassau Coliseum where it was Rockers v Rougeaus in a 60 Minute Iron Man Match! He had good seats and has some photos from that very match. It would be amazing to see that match today.It's a shame there were not any cameras rolling for it! Anyway, The Rockers won the match which went into 65 minutes overtime! I would have loved to see what an iron man match looked like in 89. Would've been historic if given that length of tv time!
I remember reading somewhere how Jimmy Hart hated Hulk Hogan's theme song (probably during one a feud Hogan had with one of his Hart's men)...which is ironic, since Hart wrote it, lol
@Kaynos : All these men featured here are now legends. (Except for Marty Janetti). Jacques Rougeau appeared on CTV News and spoke out against street gangs. Raymond Rougeau became a sports announcer for RDS. (A French Sports channel) HBK is in the WWE Hall Of Fame. Earl Hoeppner is still a ref in TNA. I don't know what happened to Jimmy Hart, but I think he is Hall of Fame bound. Too bad the 3rd Rougeau brother, Armand did not make it to the WWF. Long live these legends!
@SurvivorPaul16 I totaly agree with you my friend. BTW, Armand did receive an offer from the WWF at the same time his Brothers go theirs. However a back injury prevented him to join them in the WWF as he was forced to retire.
I don't know why, even though I called myself a Hulkamaniac as a kid, I always loved the tag teams in the 80's: the Fabulous Rougeaus, the British Bulldogs, the Hart Foundation, the Rockers, they were all so damn awesome.
Im glad the Rougeaus nailed em. I never went for the rockers b.s. i really didnt. What woulda made this perfect is if Jacques woulda knocked shawn michaels teeth down his throat like he did to dynamite kid in real life.
lmao 1:10 to 1:13 is a good reason y u dont see jimmy hart as a judge on americas got talent and tony is like uh y am i here? and y is jimmy hart bitchin about the rockers music
This brings back memories.....you gotta love this man! The Ragu Sisters (cheap Demolition promo!).....I mean the Rougeau Brothers had a kick ass theme....
the rockers were just like the bushwhackers always jobbing to every new heel tag team and the only time they won matches were against jobbers or tag teams on their way out of the Wwf
Oh and by the way...that ring announcer was brilliant,she had a great voice to introduce the wrestler...in my opinion much better than todays Lillian...
who ever gave me a thumbs down on that,must be a new retarded fan who never exprienced and lived through the early 90's....that ring announcer was brilliant!!!
Hey you silly people, the rockers music did not have lyrics....it was just a one time thing on that show,it was a battle of the entrance music lyrics..and the rockers did a goof towards the rougeaus by doing this rockers lyric, it was a one time only thing....
You'd think the AWA WrestleRock Rumble from 1986 would've been proof enough to the WWF that Marty and Shawn should not be singing. Jimmy Hart was 100% correct. I liked the variation of the theme music itself, though.
The Fabulous Rag-Dew Sisters!

Ray Rougeau is so awesome, just by his looks alone he could guide 3 different teams to multiple Stanley Cups.

So, when did the Mcgirk get fazed out for Lillian? Sorry if I spelled the name wrong

@trunkmonke1980
Mike McGuirk actually left around 1994 or so. So that was long before Lilian came around.
