Hey everybody! I have released my new album 'Progenitor' which is electronic music inspired by great games such as the .hack series. You can check it out and download it for free on my youtube channel if you're interested!
@MyPinkNBlack Everyone has has a taste in music, it's just that we each have a different taste. My taste rests within the undying soul of rock. Yours is probably Japanese music or something. I don't exactly care what your tatse in music is because the only thing that matters is that you respect others' tastes and if you can't respect that, then keep comments like that to yourself.
if this is the anime with haseo and is pre-videogame story,
then this is probably the most boring anime of all time. Seriously I watched like 5-8 episodes and NOTHING happened seriously, it was the most boring anime I ever watched.
Love .hack//g.u. though (video game) and the legend of the twilight anime.
@deoxxys Its mostly story based. But it shows the first Skieth so there is some reward. I personally fucking love this anime but every persons' tastes differ :D
@deoxxys though the beginning is a bit boring, I do admit that, just stick with it. It gets more interesting and it kinda grows on you as you watch. . . I mean I saw this when it first aired on TV and I didn't like it at first but now I love it, I guess that's just me, but give it another chance you might be surprised : - )
This is a definite scenario where I completely understand why someone would not like this anime. .hack//SIGN easily fits one of those anime that a lot of people will either dislike or like it. It's really easy to see why a lot of people may not like it, with a lot of the conversations not being too meaningful until later. However, if you enjoy the story and keep watching, you really start getting into it later in the anime. Some of the later scenes just stay in your memory forever
normally i hate anime with a passion because its so dumb.. i don't get why i like this though. i would love to have an mmo exactly like this... it would be enjoyable. i loved the show though, not sure why. i only really like the first 30 seconds of the song, it has a really sad depressing tone...
You've probably been watching anime genres you don't like— many of the ones that reach America are shonen animes that span years of episodes without reaching real conclusion or themes.
Something many don't understand about anime is that there's as many genres of anime as movies. Anime fans don't like all anime, that's a misnomer of a term that doesn't truly exist.
...Any story you can think of can be expressed in anime form, it's just an animation style after all.
@Senyuno "...Any story you can think of can be expressed in anime form, it's just an animation style after all"
After I told my older sister about anime and how it can be about all kinds of subject from kid to adult. I got her into watching them. I think the 1st anime she watched was wolfs rain on adult swim while(years, years) back. Good show to start with if you want adult themes. After that she was hooked but didnt really get into them until the past 3 years or so...
@xbreakthehabitx Ask people who HATE anime to recommend some. At least for me, most of the time they tend to give you the good and worthwhile anime (and manga for that matter)
@IceNinjaX I think it's because most people like to pity themselves and think that they have a crappy life. I'm one of them. And I know that things can be a lot worse.
I was hoping someone might be able to tell me where I can find the .Hack SIGN OST for free download. I've been looking everywhere but can't find it anywhere, not even for paied download. If anyone could help me out, that would be great.
This quickly became my favorite song in the entire world and still is my favorite [the karaoke version]. Infact, when I test concert sound systems, I play this song to see how well they are tuned! And the Amount of instruments in this song is brillant!
I loved .hack//SIGN, and I love this song to death. It is just so epic, and it made me cry when I watched Unison because I knew that was the end of .hack//SIGN.
I love the //Roots OP, but the anime itself... not so much. I couldn't even finish it. And the worst part is, it's about my favorite character in G.U. XD
2. you're noticing the guy above me has few grammar skills.
Also, one of my favorite songs from the whole .hack// genre of anime, games, etc. I just like the entire soundtrack from the games especially. ESPECIALLY Harald's Theme.
I love everything about this anime, the opening movie, the opening song, the plot, the characters, the ending movie, and the ending song too, my only complaint about the show was it didn't last nearly long enough. :(
That was the basic point though. Tsukasa was trapped in the game because he was put into the coma through an element of it. Therefore, the game is his life. And I would find that very much, awesome.
If The World was a game, it'd be my life. I'd love to be trapped in a reality such as this. You'd never die, violence or not, and you know there'd be violence. You could do whatever you want. It would rule. Hard.
You could be put into coma by an unknown element of "The World"!.
You'd either be like Tsukasa in .hack//sign. Or you would be like Shino (lost one) in .hack//roots.
assuming the same uncontrollable element of the game was incorporated into the game in real life (which might not be to hard 7 years from now(never know)).
Yeah because in every game you have complete freedom, can voice chat freely, see and hear everything around you and interact with everything. Also create pretty much anything in a fully realistic and working enviroment on multiple terrains and multiple worlds. Not to mention what seems like a complete freedom of movement and the ability to actually kill ingame moderators.
Half of that is the technology. .hack takes place in teh future, and its not all that new. Their would be no reason other games couldn't use the same technology for freedom of movement, and chatting(I.E, all the immersive qualities). There would no reason for people not having a close physics engine or an identical one either.
I would love them to make a very story focused .hack mmo but in a .hack style story (Aura, 8 phases, data drain ect) becouse well .hacks out of the box style is really 90% of its charm
I don't know if it'd be much more addicting than an MMO now. MMOs don't fulfil all of a persons entertainment needs. People in MMOs tend to be too goal focused, carries a bad atmosphere. plus you always know its fake, and the immersion is always broken(storywise). Don't forget about Ishikawa Chiaki! Her vocals on this song are spectacular! I think that her voice is very unique. I recognized it almost instantly when I heard Kimi wa Boku ni Niteiru and more recently, Prototype. (Gundam 00 ending. It was done without Yuki Kajiura though...)

People should know that disliking is not saying it's bad, it's just saying that you don't like it. Happens in life.
Anyway, the music is amazing, and it was perfectly matched with the .hack//SIGN series, in all aspects.
