In my estimation, it isn't that cannabis causes harm to the brain, it is more that certain types of people, perhaps already suffering mental health problems, take this drug in order to counteract their problems.
I am not an expert in this field, but during his research for the long term affects of Cannabis on it's users, Professor Nutt found that it didn't seem to have a detrimental affect. This research was done for the Government when it was re-assimilating the Grade classification of marijuana from class C, to b again. I personally don't think it will have a long term affect, however, obviously with heavy use on a day to day basis, it is going to affect your work, therefore possibly your livelihood.
The rational way to encourage people to live healthier lives is by requiring them to pay higher health insurance to cover additional social costs of riskier behavior like we do with booze and cigarettes. I enjoy the flavor of cannabis. There are possibly hundreds of different strains of cannabis. I've smoked enough to know that it can be compared to wine.

In my estimation, it isn't that cannabis causes harm to the brain, it is more that certain types of people, perhaps already suffering mental health problems, take this drug in order to counteract their problems.

I am not an expert in this field, but during his research for the long term affects of Cannabis on it's users, Professor Nutt found that it didn't seem to have a detrimental affect. This research was done for the Government when it was re-assimilating the Grade classification of marijuana from class C, to b again. I personally don't think it will have a long term affect, however, obviously with heavy use on a day to day basis, it is going to affect your work, therefore possibly your livelihood.

The rational way to encourage people to live healthier lives is by requiring them to pay higher health insurance to cover additional social costs of riskier behavior like we do with booze and cigarettes. There have been 25 million deaths by AIDS since 1981 almost of them from putting one's dick in somebody else's body which has no logical necessity if you aren't trying to make babies so why shouldn't ass fucking and abortions be illegal too?
