i may not be african or s/african but i love all type of music that has soul and rhythem to it.. i first saw this concert bak in 96 or 97 and i loved it to death since!! every now and then i tuned in to watch it..such rare vibe and harmony to her songs!!! guess thats wat makes a true artist !! rip miriam ;-)
She's speaking English because it is an international language, and as a cultural ambassador, she knew that it was important to speak in a language that the widest audience would understand.
RIP Mama Africa!! Your voice will always be heard. I love this concert. I taped it from PBS when it was on 20 yrs ago. I still watch it from time to time.
