it's not a copy of the chamber of secrets it's more colorful and unless you're on a broomstick there are certain areas you can't access but in sorcerer's stone you can go almost anywhere and there's stuff in this game that you can't do in chamber of secrets.

@TheReeciebaby Philosophers have some trouble wondering what a philosopher is, based on the nature of what a philosopher is. Philosphers like to question and think about things. questions like: does a tree make a noise if no one is their to hear it? and other more pressing questions of existance. It's strange that they changed in to Sorcerers Stone seeing as the Philosopher's stone is the actual name of a hypothetical mythical artifact in reality.

There are two console games of the Philosophers Stone. The first one was released for PS One and PC to tie in with the movie. The second one was a remake and came out after Chamber of Secrets for the PS2,GCN and Xbox.

Agreed the first 3 games are the best, i like the castle in the order of phoenix but it isn't as fun :( i liked controlling Hermione and Ron in the 3rd game aswell they should make a remake of one of the first games in the new graphics and let us controll all 3 characters in the free roam ( when you've got nothing left to do i.e. end of day)

I like the ps1 versions they might have bad graphics but they where fun, and these look fun aswell. Personally the newer games aren't as good i have Order of Phoenix and Goblet of fire and completed them very quickly in Order of phoenix there wasn't much to do really collect luna's items etc x.x these games and the ps1 games have more puzzles and stuff, more entertaining.

It's called "Sorcerer's Stone" in the U.S. because Scholastic thought that people in America wouldn't think of a Philosopher as having anything to do with magic.

to an american, philosopher = someone who makes deep theories and thoughts an ethics and reason (philosophy) etc AKA the modernly known type

the philosopher's stone is a legend known to brits. it is a tale about an alchemist (the philosopher) who created a stone using alchemy. the sto had the abillity to transform any metal into gold and prolong a living being's life

problem with the american title is that it suggest that the stone was created with sorcery not alchemy

Philosophers Stone PS2, Chamber of Secrest PS2 and Prisnore of Askaban PS2 are by far three of the best games I have ever played. Sure, the graphics arent great, but the story line is. They are the only games where I have restarted the game the second I finish it.

This game is a rip off of the Chamber of Secrets for the PS2 version. Although I have played this one before the Chamber of Secrets, I noticed that one of the Major differences in this version, is that they installed the Main doors on each of the floors of Hogwarts Castle. (Eg. Transfiguration, Defence Against the Dark Arts, History of Magic)
