i think smoking is only haraam if you are addicted... or if you smoke too much. To quit this habit you should first try to cut down and then eventually quit all together Inshallah. Smoking tobacco actually changes people in bad ways... but if you do quit, then the benefits of being a non-smoker is worth more than you can imagine!!

Can you produce pictures of smoking related deaths and illnesses of say 100 or 200 years ago that show these exact medical illnesses and attribute them specifically to the Tobacco plant?
This seems more like an attempt of getting smokers to accept Muhammadan Islam, than to truly educate them, no?
@123backinyerface I'm a medical student and I can tell you that inhaling anything that is partly or completely burnt is harmful to one's health. The smoke commonly contains carcinogens (cancer-causing agents). Just look at how people die in fires, they don't normally burn to death, they die of smoke inhalation. The difference is they die quick, you kill yourself slowly.
Look up benzopyrene and tobacco if you don't believe me.
Well I smoke organic tobacco (no additives) called "American Spirit" and as I am sure you are already aware that Benzopyrene is "added" to mainstream cigarettes for "taste" to limit the reaction into the lungs so the smoker can take it deeper in. Benzopyrene is NOT a natural derivative of tobacco.
In this regard, Allah doesn't really know shit. You have a great career now, ya hear.

I quit smok,ing last january a couple months after my dad died from cancer. Even though I was not a heavy smoker (just a few cloves a week) I just didn't want to do it anymore. I did not use any product, just stopped cold turkey masha'Allah. The Qu'ran says to avoid those things which are intoxicants and nicotine is an intoxicant because you get addicted to it. It is a poison and poisons are haram. Consider this video pegged as favorite in my channel. :-)

You will not find them, but it says in the Quran that killing is forbidden and you can "infer". In the same way when it says in the Glorious Qur'an 4:29 "Do not kill yourself", then in the same way killing yourself by smoking is forbidden.

Smoking being haram is a more recent fatwa as more evidence has come out on how fatal it is. Years ago when it was more "highly probable" it was makruh, but as medical evidence mounts fatwas started to mount. To be honest I wasn't happy when I found out. But I had to quit.

the first one - gluttony. im pretty sure gluttony is a sin. driving a car, well MOST accidents result from drunk driving. the rest are, as the word implies, just accidents. you can't accidently smoke or eat yourself to death. and joining the army, im not too sure about but i hope that helps somewhat.

Haram or not? I think this question is absolutelly self-evident. ALLAH knows the best, and HE knows what is good for the people and what isn't. ALLAH forbad muslims the bad things and thoose things what are harmful for people. Cigarette is harmful so it is haram.

yup its true but prophet muhammad did not say anything about shisha.. alcohol is already been invented and prophet muhammad asked them to avoid it.. if hookah is haram as well, surely prophet muhammad asked them to stop taking shisha... some of the islamic scholar said that hookah is haram bcoz during quraish victory in battle of uhud, they celebrated by drinking alcohol as well with shisha.. I don't think shisha is haram.. shisha is makruh..

Walaikumsalam.. i believe that cigareete is harmful for humans body but only for those who are heavy smoker.. lets take a sugar as example.. if u ate too much sugar for many years, what will happen to u? u will get diabetes even u are non smoker.. is sugar haram??? if they trying to said that cigarette is haram, they must said that sugar is haram too bcoz it can cause diabetes.. Prophet Muhammad did not tell us anything about shisha in the quran or even the hadith..
Brother Ruzaini, I respect your thoughts on the matter but using your own example of the sugar. Alchohol (which I think we can all come to agreement is haram) when consumed over long periods of time causes the same danger to the liver. Not to say that sugar is haram but you see where I am going?

It stands to reason that any substance that kills more of its users than alcohol does must also be haram. Like alcohol and other addictive drugs while the addict is craving or abusing nicotine their mind can't possibly be on their faith. The need to satisfy their desire comes before the need to satisfy Allah (swt) and anything that does this to a person has to be forbidden. It shouldn't only be the detrimental physical aspects of smoking/drinking etc. that put off muslims.
i do not smoke cigaretts and i will not, but i belive people should have the absolute right to do so. i do not encourage them to but, its a free country.
Smoking is Haram end of story! It is just common sense. Smoking harms the body and causes illness, disease and death (more like suicide). I used to be a very heavy smoker, but Alhamdulillah I managed to quit and it has been over a year now.
Life is a trust from God, no one should take it for granted. Anything that is harmful to the body is Haram, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to know this simple truth.

I quit smoking now a couple of days ago. I was a chain-smoker, smoking a lot of cigaretes a day. And I swear it isn't that hard. If you trust in Allah s.w.t. it's easy to quit.

Smoking may be unhealthy but it´s been proven that one glass of wine is very healthy for the digestion.Would it not be refreshing to see ALL RELIGIONS start concentrating on the suffering in Palestine,Sudan,Tibet etc.rather than forbidding things according to their own beliefs ! Im a smoker, too. At first i smoked over 30 cigarettes in one day, now im smoking 4-6 in one day. Im trying to stop it, but i cant. I think its because lots of muslims smoke than i take it as an excuse to smoke. I know that its wrong.

You'll find all tobacco contains benzopyrene. Processing simply increases the amount.
Read real literature and you will know the truth.

I quit smok,ing last january a couple months after my dad died from cancer. Even though I was not a heavy smoker (just a few cloves a week) I just didn't want to do it anymore. I did not use any product, just stopped cold turkey masha'Allah. The Qu'ran says to avoid those things which are intoxicants and nicotine is an intoxicant because you get addicted to it. It is a poison and poisons are haram. Consider this video pegged as favorite in my channel. :-)

You will not find them, but it says in the Quran that killing is forbidden and you can "infer". In the same way when it says in the Glorious Qur'an 4:29 "Do not kill yourself", then in the same way killing yourself by smoking is forbidden.

Smoking being haram is a more recent fatwa as more evidence has come out on how fatal it is. Years ago when it was more "highly probable" it was makruh, but as medical evidence mounts fatwas started to mount. To be honest I wasn't happy when I found out. But I had to quit.

the first one - gluttony. im pretty sure gluttony is a sin. driving a car, well MOST accidents result from drunk driving. the rest are, as the word implies, just accidents. you can't accidently smoke or eat yourself to death. and joining the army, im not too sure about but i hope that helps somewhat.

yup its true but prophet muhammad did not say anything about shisha.. alcohol is already been invented and prophet muhammad asked them to avoid it.. if hookah is haram as well, surely prophet muhammad asked them to stop taking shisha... some of the islamic scholar said that hookah is haram bcoz during quraish victory in battle of uhud, they celebrated by drinking alcohol as well with shisha.. I don't think shisha is haram.. shisha is makruh..

Walaikumsalam.. i believe that cigareete is harmful for humans body but only for those who are heavy smoker.. lets take a sugar as example.. if u ate too much sugar for many years, what will happen to u? u will get diabetes even u are non smoker.. is sugar haram??? if they trying to said that cigarette is haram, they must said that sugar is haram too bcoz it can cause diabetes.. Prophet Muhammad did not tell us anything about shisha in the quran or even the hadith..

It stands to reason that any substance that kills more of its users than alcohol does must also be haram. Like alcohol and other addictive drugs while the addict is craving or abusing nicotine their mind can't possibly be on their faith. The need to satisfy their desire comes before the need to satisfy Allah (swt) and anything that does this to a person has to be forbidden. It shouldn't only be the detrimental physical aspects of smoking/drinking etc. that put off muslims.

Smoking is Haram end of story! It is just common sense. Smoking harms the body and causes illness, disease and death (more like suicide). I used to be a very heavy smoker, but Alhamdulillah I managed to quit and it has been over a year now.

I quit smoking now a couple of days ago. I was a chain-smoker, smoking a lot of cigaretes a day. And I swear it isn't that hard. If you trust in Allah s.w.t. it's easy to quit.

Smoking may be unhealthy but it´s been proven that one glass of wine is very healthy for the digestion.Would it not be refreshing to see ALL RELIGIONS start concentrating on the suffering in Palestine,Sudan,Tibet etc.rather than forbidding things according to their own beliefs ! inshallah u will stop smoking i always thought its makrouh rather then haraam as intoxication is regarded haraam so any drugs alcohol hashish an that but as ciggarettes dont make u intoxicated i thought its makrouh

Im a smoker, too. At first i smoked over 30 cigarettes in one day, now im smoking 4-6 in one day. Im trying to stop it, but i cant. I think its because lots of muslims smoke than i take it as an excuse to smoke. I know that its wrong.

awsome video. i used to be a smoker and i know that smoking keeps you away from good health and many good things in life. As said it enslaves you, and u become weaker and weaker. i left cigratte becoz i know if i had continued i would have faced huge problem later on. thank u by the way where can i get those cancer images on internet? i need to scare some people. lol
