That demure look at 54 makes this sexy as well as dark. I love Marisa. Watched Barry Lyndon twice at the theatres even though I was the only person in the second showing. Keep in mind that in those days political correctness hadn't taken flight. People were laguhing at movies like "Arsenic and Old Lace" during prime time. Besides Marisa, like Fonda, had always pushed the envelope. She is so enticing that I think a bump on the head might be worth it.
well since she says poison lemonade, sealed him in a wall, hit him with a hammer and hid her in the freezer. i think she pretty much killed them. which considering this was the muppet show which people thought was for kids. makes it great !!!!
I've bought seasons 1-3 of the Muppet Show and though I didn't remember this from my childhood, I just loved it. Actually, watching those Muppet Show DVDs have resulted in a lot of great additions to my iPod. That show had SUCH terrific music and this song is just one of many I watched and said "I have *got* to have that song!!" Unfortunately, I had to settle for some obscure yahoos-- Johnny Chester &Jigsaw (Berenson's version is way better, IMO).
Sounds like Jerry Nelson was the first and second characters tied up. The boy in the floor...unknown...I've listened to this about 10 times and I think I hear a harmony background vocal of Jim Henson too. The character themselves are probably played by different puppeteers...this is my guess anyway. :-)
I adore the black humor of this sketch. Marisa is great in it!

this disturbed the hell out of me when I saw this when I was tiny. It's like Fred West's theme tune
