A national ID card is more realistic, and if you have nothing to fear, why worry that they can track you with it?? Hell,, they can already to that with your cell phone. As well if you chose to give out your personal information to McDonalds etc. The govt on the other hand has no need or right to track its citizens, or force this activitiy on its citizens.
