  • "In February 2003, a Florida Court of Appeals unanimously agreed with an assertion by FOX News that there is no rule against distorting or falsifying the news in the United States." - projectcensored org

  • So your comparing California as a war zone. How is the California mentality working out. Busted and broke. Think about that when you vote, have an economy or a bankrupt Calif. Democrats are dumber than dumb playing on the naive plain and simple.

  • great post thank you so much.

  • These kids have had no adversity in their lives, but it's coming. Start the draft up again, the war will stop in a heartbeat. They look like a bunch of sheep. And I'm insulting sheep when I say this. Rich white men will always offer up other peoples children as a sacrifice. All this to preserve their wealth.

  • @penlovmov

What the hell is wrong with you? So it's their fault they've had no adversity? They should have been raised in a slum somewhere?

They look like sheep? What did you look like at that age? Suit and tie, monocle, pocket-watch and smoking from a pipe?

It also sounds like you have something against whites, and yes it is possible to be racist toward whites, you fuckin' asshole.

  • At the time Brit Hume read this America was united behind Bush and gung-ho for revenge for 911. There must have been an electricity in the air over at Fox that can only be rivaled by the tingle Chris Mathews gets up is leg when Obama lies. That majic jingo-jolt mixed with an oxycocktail(a.k.a. Rushbomb) is the only viable culprit for this jingoistic feel-good appleseed vs. orangepeel reporting. I must not have been as impaired as they were when this aired, cuz I do remember it.

  • It's sad that the comments so many people jump to make after watching clips like this is something along the lines of "the liberal media....blah, blah, blah."

No one is saying the liberal media doesn't have an agenda or uses fuzzy logic. That's not even part of the argument. That's a statement made when no one has a real counter statement against the actual video shown. Next time you morons want so badly to defend Fox news, find something that proves they're right.

  • This is a great clip! The man is a genius for explaining things in a way that keeps your attention while sending a clear message. God bless him!

  • @DhrRepelsteel

No, I'll condemn it, it's wrong. But, apparently some people unwilling to recognize that CNN or MSNBC have never done so either. They haven't...ever?

I won't condemn all of Fox, but I will condemn pretty blatant mistakes like that one. Luckily, they don't happen all that often.

I find it funny, the hypocrisy of many of the people on this thread. They fail to realize that for every mistake, or fabrication Fox makes, theres a reciprocating one in the left-wing media as well.

  • @DhrRepelsteel

Exposing ONE embellishment. Then following it up with Liberal BS like Liberal slant is 'underrepresented'. Underrepresented my ass, that's the indoctrination I'm talking about. And if you don't recognize the outlets I listed above are equally biased [but left-leaning], you're an idiot.

'FOX news anchors use bogus statistics ALL THE TIME'

You're exaggerating. Examples please, blanket statements such as that are lazy. No more [bogus stats]than MSNBC does, or CNN for that matter.

  • Fuck fox news

  • I have heard that 'talk to the hand' (palm in face) is an african way of showing someone disrepect. Consider where you are when these comments are made, or where you are from.

  • @Illumirage Franken is a Senator, not a Governor.

    Way to go!

  • @maxwell1888

Yeah, I realized that after I wrote it. My mistake.

  • @maxwell1888 OK, well, in this clip he points out how Fox news is full of shit. HE doesn't contend it, he explains it. He demonstrates it. Now, every intelligent person on earth, conservative or liberal, knows that FOX news is a joke, and in this clip that's his topic of discussion. If you are denouncing him here, about this clip, that means that you think Fox news is legitimate. Which means that you are a pathetic piece of shit and should kill yourself.

  • @jfrsnjhnsn I'm confused.. Do you think I posted this to make Al Franken look like an asshole? :S

I didn't. I posted it because he, as you said, demonstrates the bullshit that Fox News report.

  • @maxwell1888 Sorry, Maxwell, I may have been responding to someone else and hit your name by mistake.

  • @jfrsnjhnsn Wow, you totally misjudged the meaning of the video and motive of the poster. You're thinking too hard, don't think too hard ,you might hit molten lava.

  • @jfrsnjhnsn Very well said, Maxwell. Franken made a very intelligent observation and point than uncovered the fact that Hume is a moron and made a huge mistake. I agree that FOX news is a joke. I also believe that CNN and MSNBC is a joke. About a year ago, I converted to talk radio for my news and information. Michael Savage and Alex Jones seem to be the best sources. Check'em out.

  • @jfrsnjhnsn Fucking A man

  • @jfrsnjhnsn

As opposed to MSNBC which is an example of exemplary journalism? It goes both ways there Pedro.

I personally find Fox to be much more on the mark than ABC, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, BBC, AJN, etc.

  • @Illumirage NO. When you look at it FACTUALLY, none of these news organizations you mentioned are "liberal". They're just news networks who choose to show BOTH SIDES of the fence, as opposed to just one, like FOXnews does.

Not only, but when you look at radio political talk shows, there is about one liberal talk show every 500 conservative ones.

You hate the guy because he speaks the truth, and you're not used to it. But it's not totally your fault. FOXnews lies and you dont even know it....

  • @vampiroangelico

Actually they are quite (Lib.), it's sometimes pretty subtle. Or in Olbermann's case, not at all. Of course, I wouldn't expect anyone who doesn't pick up on that subtlety to know any better. It's in the stories they choose (and ignore) to report, it's in their wording, op eds, often times it's in their analysis.

As for radio, that, FOX, and the internet are about all (Reps) have. The rest is dominated by leftists.

I barely watch FNC, ha! Al speaks a lot of B.S., I'm used to it.

  • @Illumirage I respectfully disagree with your comments, and a Right Winger should not mention "subtlety", as they do not completely understand the meaning of it.

In Olbermann's case, I can agree to a certain extent that he is a Liberal and he admitted he is Progressive, but the reason why he's not subtle is he is tired (as many other Liberal/Progressives, like myself) of the spineless so-called Liberal politicians, who always allow those from the Right to bully them around.

    He had to open up.

  • @vampiroangelico

Well, I'm a conservative, and I understand subtlety...

I personally think Olbermann is over-the-top because he's getting piss-poor ratings. He needs a hook/draw.

    .

Lastly, and this isn't really directed at you personally, but I feel dubbing many liberals as 'progressive' is insulting to Conservatives. As if a Conservative is the opposite, moving backward. Right. I'd like to 'progress' from our current position, but I don't have to be a Liberal to do so.

  • @Illumirage Where exactly do you get the "ratings" from? No, I mean, I'm just asking, because it doesn't make much sense that MSNBC gave him the hottest time slot (8pm), and you claim he gets piss-poor ratings....

Well, YOU may think the term "progressive" is insulting to Conservatives, and I think the term "Tea Party" is insulting to Liberals, as if a Liberal is not a patriot or does not follow the Constitution. You have to look at it from both perspectives.

  • @vampiroangelico

Are you familiar with the Nielsen ratings share? As for your tea party point, you may have a valid argument there.

Well, even when the Dems were 'reaching across the aisle' their bills were usually unnecessary and expensive, which was the root cause of their failure.

I think the politicians are more right-leaning because it's a reflection of how the majority of America feels. Democrats had their chance and squandered it.

  • @Illumirage There are some good points in what you just said.

However, I believe that most of the reason why the Dems bills are expensive, is because of this one example (and theres more): to make republicans happy, they keep spending LOADS of federal budget in Iraq and Afghanistan pointlessly, when they should just send the soldiers home, and spend that money giving health care to all who cannot afford it, NOT FOR FREE, but using the tax money out of our paychecks.

  • @vampiroangelico

Is it because they want to make Reps happy, or is it because they want to win those wars? Arguable.

I don't know. I'm of the mindset that health care isn't a right. I shouldn't have to pay for some illegal alien's anchor baby down in Southern California.

  • @Illumirage So because of some illegals, you now take the right to their health to all the residents who cannot afford the private health insurances?

See? This is exactly what is wrong with Republicans/Teabaggers. In order to protect the corporations (who certainly need no protection, given that they're extremely wealthy and are making record profits at the expenses of poor people and middle class), to you it's no big deal to take the right to their health from a whole category of people.

  • @vampiroangelico

No, that was just an example of a demographic I shouldn't have to pay for.......EVER. Legal Americans should have affordable health care, yes.

OK, you just knocked down your credibility a bit, you dropped it - 'tea-baggers'. So anyone who disagrees with you is automatically associated with a perverse sexual act? That was pretty juvenile of you.

    But, sadly, it was expected....

This debate had nothing to do with big corporations, but rather, unjust taxation.

  • @Illumirage Teabagger = Tea Party follower. It's a commonly known term. I do not do sexual acts or insult people, while talking politics, and I cannot believe you're so out of the loop with the terminology, that, just to toss around accusations you immediately questioned my credibility for something that shallow and superficial. For the sake of the intellectual value of this conversation, you should really take that back.

After you do that, we can continue a debate I was actually enjoying.

    :-)

  • @vampiroangelico

OK, I take it back. I know that term, it's usually a condescending slang of sorts, referring to tea-partiers. Maybe you didn't have any bad intentions. My mistake.

Yeah, nothing wrong with a healthy exchange of ideas. I rarely have respect for liberals, you on the other hand, seem rather sensible.

That's actually a quandary I've found myself in, can I be friends with someone who completely rejects my line of thinking? I've had roommates/friends like that.....

  • @Illumirage I appreciate you taking it back.

Could you help me understand what you exactly mean with "you seem rather sensible"?

And yes, we can perfectly get along, as long as we respect each other ideologies. I'm a progressive/Liberal, and I have plenty of Conservative friends, considering I live in a red state (central FL).

I dislike YouTube political debates, because the vast majority of people are rather unintelligent, and they -BOTH SIDES- demonstrate it by sending insults....

  • @vampiroangelico

I mean quite a few democrats don't know what they're talking about. You seem to have thought things out. There was no sarcasm there.

I live in a Blue state (Minneapolis, MN) so I know how you feel. It actually kind of surprises me Florida is red state....

And you're right, YT debates usually spiral into shouting matches amongst people with the IQ of a goldfish.

  • @Illumirage Shouting and sending insults is the instinctive thing to do, when people get challenged (even when they get intellectually challenged) and I believe that the one big thing that differentiates us from animals is (or SHOULD BE) our ability to use intelligence to face situations properly, as opposed to mere instincts.

I don't consider myself a "genius", but when I talk issues in politics, I respond with issues and politics, instead of personal insults, which most people throw at me.

  • @vampiroangelico

Well put, to say the least.

I realize, above, I succumbed to that. However, I will admit, I wrote that after I'd had a few drinks. So yeah....

  • @Illumirage Hehe, you're forgiven.

I had a couple of Yuenglings myself tonight, at band practice.

  • @vampiroangelico ...said 'who always allow those from the Right to bully them around.'

    .

The Liberals had two years with of the House+Senate majority, as well as executive branch. Republicans didn't have much leverage to bully around anyone in that period. So, I guess I don't totally see where you were going with that...

  • @Illumirage The Liberals had 2 years but weren't able to do anything also because, unlike the Conservatives, they actually try to reach across the isle on important issues, and also weren't able to do anything because of the continuous filibustering the Republicans were doing. I do believe the Democrats are a spineless bunch, and even more importantly, there is no party of the Left, in the US. Recently I've been feeling as if there are only 2 parties from the Right: one moderate and one extreme.

  • @Illumirage The truth has a well known liberal bias.

Fox has pulled off quite a feat. They tell their gullible viewers that every other news outlet has a liberal bias and only tells lies. Then the stupid FOX viewers never watch anything else so they become even more uninformed.

Fact is that Fox "News" viewers are the least informed - just google the most recent Dec 20th University of Maryland study, not to mention the 2007 Pew Research study etc. etc. etc.

  • @TheSnoopy1750

That's all just your opinion. You're a very condescending hypocrite, to ridicule fox for it's slant, and not recognize Keith Olbermann and company have an equal spin, just to the left. Hey, Fox must be doing something right, it's ratings are kicking the snot out of every other cable news outlet, obviously people agree. Your line of thinking is one the decline, which is probably why you're being such a smug a-hole.

  • @Illumirage You do realize that Fox News also competes with CBS, ABC, NBC, BBC etc.?

Here is how one should look at it. Fox News has a very small % of the ENTIRE viewership.

Since Fox has a practical monopoly on the right wingnuts, who only watch shows that agree with their preconceived beliefs, Fox should have at least a 5% share if you assume no independents or liberals watch it.

Since liberals, independents etc, have a choice of another 5-8 networks, these divide up the other 90%+.

  • @TheSnoopy1750

Also I checked your links. I wonder how they gathered that data? What questions were asked, how many people they surveyed, where they surveyed, etc. Seems flimsy at best.

And as for the Pew Research - Being able to identify Sunnies, Libby, Putin, and the death toll in Iraq constitutes political literacy? Btw, O'Reilly Factor viewers were behind the top spot (Daily Show) by a WHOPPING 3%.

Hume threw out a bad stat. Are you trying to tell me MSNBC never has? CNN?

    Save it buddy.....

  • @Illumirage So you ASSUME the questions were faulty when the conclusions don't fit with your views?

    lol

  • @Illumirage Your credibility is also quite low, as you claim that Franken was the governor of your state at the top of the comment section.

That makes you either a liar or an idiot. Probably both.

  • @TheSnoopy1750

Say there were only 1 liberal station, and Fox, claiming they'd 'out-view' fox is all speculation.

Also, I addressed that earlier. I mistakenly called him a governor when he was senator. It was an accident, big deal. That's like you ridiculing me for forgetting to put a period at the end of a sentence, a minor accident.

"That makes you either a liar or an idiot. Probably both"

Again, you continue with your condescending B.S. Get off your high-horse before you respond again okay?

  • @Illumirage So you don't want to debate that Fox has a very small % of total viewership?

The reason why this is an important point is that you use ratings to show that many people agree with Fox. If Fox only gets 5-10% of viewers, that negates your comment. I can find 5-10% of the U.S. population that believes in all kinds of stupid things.

If 5-10% of people believe something, that is statistically insignificant. When those viewers are less informed than average, it means even less.

  • @TheSnoopy1750

First of all, I said get off your high-horse before you respond. You didn't.

I originally wrote two response posts there, one didn't show up for some reason...

I never said their viewership numbers validated my thoughts and opinions, I merely stated they're doing something right. That's it. Quit putting words in my mouth.

"When those viewers are less informed than average"

They're not. Indeed I've had the misfortune of running into plenty of liberals who were incredibly ignorant.

  • @Illumirage Actually, there was a study showing that very liberal people have higher IQs than very conservative people.

You may have met some ignorant liberals, but liberals have, on average, a higher IQ.

    Google:

    Liberal higher IQ UPI.

  • @TheSnoopy1750

Again, another hollow link. So one study, done however professionally (or un), done at one place, and one point in history means Liberals tend to be smart than Conservatives? I'm not buying it. Their rhetoric says it all.

  • @Illumirage Sure, ignore the study that was widely covered in the media and was thoroughly peer-reviewed and was done by the prestigious London School of Economics.

Conservatives hate studies if the conclusions do not agree with their views. I think you just proved that point.

I'm pretty sure you can't find a credible peer-reviewed study that shows very conservative people have higher IQs. Gee, why do conservatives make fun of "Ivy league intellectuals"? Because they are mostly liberal.

  • @TheSnoopy1750

No, I refuse to believe that a bunch of morons like you who's logic is normally upside down, like defending people who want them dead, tend to be quite racist themselves (while calling every Republican one), pro-socialism, pot-smoking, open border-anarchist encouraging, nation-bankrupting, limp-wristed nutjob is smarter than me. Call me crazy.

  • @Illumirage Wow - so now you resort to name calling?

    That is quite a list.

Face it, Fox viewers are basically pretty dumb and Fox knows this, so Fox lies to them to push their agenda.

Even academic studies have shown very conservative people to have lower IQs.

  • @Illumirage The saddest part is that you watched Al Franken clearly illustrate how Fox purposely deceives their viewers, yet you think Fox is credible.

I guess you like watching a channel that thinks you're an idiot and has no problem lying to you. Any person with reasonable logical skills can see that "analysis" was flawed. Luckily for Fox, most of their viewers are pretty dumb, as well as uninformed.

    You just can't fix stupid.

  • @TheSnoopy1750

Al illustrated one instance of one mistake. That's it. Kieth Olbermann doesn't purposely deceive? Have you ever watched him? Why is your hatred of such deception singular to fox, when it happens elsewhere, arguably more often. In what they say, and withhold, the amount of stories they run on issues they deem important, their language, who they refer to people who disagree, etc.

Funny thing is, I don't watch Fox hardly at all, way to assume. But it's better than 97% of cable news.

  • @Illumirage Keith does skew his comments. I agree. But CNN, ABC, CBS are pretty unbiased, yet Fox includes them as the "liberal media". Probably because they tell the truth and Fox doesn't want their viewers to learn facts, as that would make it hard for Fox to continue lying to them.

The difference is that Fox purposely lies. Being biased and lying are 2 different things.

  • @TheSnoopy1750

CNN, ABC, and CBS do it all the time. Matt Lauer, Anderson Cooper, the lot of them. It's subtle often times, but I catch these shows at time and I'm practically yelling at the TV at times.

You say..."Fox doesn't want their viewers to learn facts"

That was the most asinine comment you've made yet. Fox has a bias, all news outlets do. But they don't PURPOSELY lie. We might have to agree to disagree on that one.

  • @Illumirage They do lie - an example is the lie that Obama was spending $200MM per day on his India trip.

Even when the government said that figure was completely wrong, Fox continued with the story for another day.

This video shows that Fox purposely skews statistics even though they lack any meaningful context.

Did you even watch this video????? Then the Fox guy sheepishly admitted it was wrong.

  • @TheSnoopy1750

"$200MM per day on his India trip." That was alleged, not confirmed. And you're retarded if you think ONLY fox reported on that.

I saw that, yes. How do you know they PURPOSELY falsified that? Answer - You don't.

  • @Illumirage Go ahead and be stupid. I guess you don't really have a choice.

    Have a nice day.

  • @TheSnoopy1750

A large amount of the Obama voters voted for him because of his skin color. Many more voted for him because he promised change, but they had no idea what that change would be. That's something to be proud of. What has he done that's positive since he's been in office? Very little. In fact he's proven to be more divisive than anything.

"Go ahead and be stupid. I guess you don't really have a choice." No, that applies to you much better, you condescending, douchebag.

  • @TheSnoopy1750

One last thing. It probably wouldn't be hard to find a link saying Republicans are smarter. Bottom line, it's an age old debate which can't be solved. You have to focus on the individual. I was in Brooklyn not too long ago and I heard these two ignorant fools YELLING about politics at each other. One said Reagan was responsible for capitalism. Obviously a left-leaning-loon. He's smarter than me now? Again, look at the individual.

  • @Illumirage On the whole its pretty easy to see that Republicans are not only dumber, but they are mean-spirited, selfish pricks. You all know Republicans, and you all know that you could that they are kind of a dick.

  • @heatmoon

Are you kidding? You don't know too many Liberals then. Because I've either personally encountered many, vile, repulsive Dems, [who don't even debate, they just curse at you] or have seen them on video. I can't believe you even thought about pushing that argument. And as for Reps being dumber, you're pretty dumb yourself if you truly believe that. It's a pretty well known fact that Liberals tend to be less well-off financially, and more inner-city. To me that spells less educated.

  • @Illumirage You can go straight to 2:25 where Franken shows that the Fox guy even admitted it was a purposely skewed statistic (i.e. a lie) to push their agenda.

Luckily for Fox, their viewers are dumber than the high school students Franken was addressing.

  • @TheSnoopy1750

He said it was crude. That's it. That wasn't really name calling, it's more of a 'calling it as it is' type of thing. If it looks like a car, moves like one, it's probably a car. And I only resorted to that stuff after you'd called me stupid for like the 8th time. So you're a hypocrite for ridiculing me on that ground.

Democrats being smarter is more of an opinion than anything. Look at the type of people that make up the democratic party. I mean come on!

  • @Illumirage If anybody lives close to you, I'd advise them to move out. You're the next to go the Jared Lee Loughner route.

  • @gspendlove

It's pretty well documented that Loughner was a left-leaning, lunatic. At least, that's what his personal friends divulged. I'm pretty far from Liberal.

    Nice try though...

  • @Illumirage Be that as it may, I still say that yours is the next smiling mugshot we'll see featured on the evening news.

  • @gspendlove

Insult away. What a cop out. Anyone who disagrees with you is a murderer? Bigot is another one you guys like to throw around. Racist, often times, when it has nothing to do with race. When you want to grow up and rebuke me point by point, I'll be right here waiting...

I honestly don't even take offense to liberal insults, because they're [you're] in no place to be hurling them. But, I'm not surprised. It's a pathetic, hair-trigger defense mechanism for a flimsy argument.

  • @Illumirage OK, this is the last time I'll be replying to you. When I grow up, huh? Yes, you're right. "Fucking jizz-bucket" and "a fuckin' joke" are perfect examples of high-minded, grown-up debate (not to mention failing to know the difference between a senator and a governor). And you're also ABSOLUTELY right when you say that I implied that ANYONE who disagrees with me is a murderer.

But I concede the insults I hurled at you were cheap shots. I take them back. Let us not fight.

  • @gspendlove

    Fine, don't respond.

You're right, I made 3 mistakes that day. I called him a governor, when he's a senator. Bad choice of words, happens to the best of us. I've admitted that already. Second, I threw out insults. Third, I was drinking vodka before I wrote that. Which I can blame the first two on, normally I'm not that loose with my words.

Well, you disagree with me, and you compared me to Loughner. Am I wrong to make that connection?

"I take them back. Let us not fight."

    Very well.

  • @Illumirage You got pretty heavily pwnt there, you might want to take a seat.

  • @JohnSnowstorm

    Not at all, actually.

  • @Illumirage your mom is a joke for giving birth to an asshole like you

  • @nela04

Says the tool who still wears a burqa, the symbol of female repression and ownership, in 2011. You're in no place to be talking.

  • @Illumirage im glad you said that which shows your ignorence, please look the girl in the burka up, please before i make another joke about you and your mom:) please :)

  • @nela04

Your Mom jokes, feel like I'm back in middle school. Ironic the one who condescendingly throws around the word 'ignorant' spells it wrong.

Maybe I'd look her up if I had a name.

  • @Illumirage Neda soltani was her name

  • @nela04

Ahhh yes, the Iranian woman. You spelled that wrong too...

  • @Illumirage so what, don't make you smarter for that

  • @nela04

    I was insinuating I'm smarter?

  • @Illumirage But that doesn't change the fact that the guy on Fox was giving a VERY misleading statistic.

  • @galoon

It happens. It happens on whatever station you consider to be fine reporting. It's not encouraged, regrettable and likely verbally reprimanded....but it happens.

That's why you see things like retractions in newspapers.

  • @Illumirage You don't know the name of the Govenor of the state where you live?

Here's a clue its Mark Dayton. Your Lt. Govenor is Yvonne Prettner Solon.

  • @MsKelleys

I already corrected myself months ago chief. I mistakenly said Governor when he's clearly a Senator, and I knew that prior to writing it. It's called a typo, it happens to you too from time to time, shut the fuck up.

  • @Illumirage Gee one would think if you decided you hate someone that you would at least know basic facts about that person.

And your response like your original post show your ignorance.

  • @MsKelleys

Did you not just read what I said, the very comment you're responding to? Because if you did, you would have known that calling him a Governor instead of a Senator was a typo. That is all. You've never misspelled a word or put the wrong one in place of another? I didn't think so.

Funny how people who are the quickest to throw out the word 'ignorant' often times are that word personified. You are a prime example.

    Stop talking.

  • @Illumirage Haha that's the most retarded explanation i have ever seen. making governor out of senator, a typo? You can't admit you are wrong, that's the problem, you are stubborn and won't be able to admit you are wrong even if you clearly are. I'm going to make an assumption, you are a very religious person?

  • @alliencedful

Even if I was did legitimately think he was governor (which I didn't), what the fuck is the big deal? You're making a mountain out of a molehill here.

No, I'll admit when I'm wrong. You talk as is if you know me personally, when the fact of the matter is you haven't the slightest idea who the hell I am.

I'm not religious at all. Way to assume, asshole.

  • @Illumirage I'm not going to do this, but if a mathematician would calculate what the odds are of that being a typo syour odds would not be high. Oh offcourse it doesn't matter, but considering your venemous remarks which accompanied your stupidity, i thought i'd make fun of you. Give me one good reason why you hate al franken? because he's left of the spectrum? i'd sure hope not. I assumed you are a religious redneck because you talk like one. So are you a super rich person?

  • @alliencedful

OK, maybe it wasn't so much a typo but substituting the wrong word for another. That happens to you to, it happens to everyone. Either way, what's the big deal?

Why do I hate Al Franken? He's a bleeding heart liberal who ridicules people like me often. He represents the far left, whom I disagree with time and time again. That's just the tip of the iceberg.

I talk like a religious redneck eh? You talk like a euro-trash socialist, beret-wearing Liberal-hipster. It goes both ways.

  • @Illumirage Oh yeah distorting the truth is ok, but having some honest discussion and some real facts, that's liberal. No that is a democracy, and truthfull. Indoctrinating? indoctrinating with what, facts? I call distorting truth to use it to your own political agenda indoctrination.

  • @alliencedful

No, berating the only Conservative outlet on television ONLY in front of impressionable students is indoctrinating them to think like a damn dirty liberal.

CNN, MSNBC, CC, AJN, RTN, ABC never make a mistake?

  • @Illumirage I'd rather be a "dirty liberal" than a racist poorly informed redneck who watches the propaganda network from rupert murdoch. those stations you named have offcourse made a mistake, however fox doesn't make "mistakes" you can't call it mistakes when every show they have has gross inaccuraties, and lies in it. Take it from a dirty liberal european, fox is not news, it's a biased opinion channel. If you can't give me good arguments i'll have to conclude you are indoctrinated.

  • @alliencedful

I'm racist now? What? I'm a redneck too? Wow, you clearly buy into way too many stereotypes, blindly. Smooth.

No, every show doesn't have inaccuracies. That's a flat out lie. Explain to me, these inaccuracies. I bet, other than this one, you can't even produce one other inaccuracy that FOX has dished out, off the top of your head.

    I'm giving you fair arguments.

  • @Illumirage the way you phrase "damn dirty liberal" is not an argument, as a matter of fact it shows how you lack anny arguments at all. Want me to show inaccuracies of FOX? Well what about everything bill o reily and rush limbaugh say? How about the lies about the protests in wisconsin? acting as if they are a bunch of criminals rioting. How about the cost of obama's trip to india? How about fox calling obama a communist, while he's clearly a center right president? fox is propaganda.

  • @alliencedful

Damn dirty liberal was never meant to be an argument. '

'Well what about everything bill o reily and rush limbaugh say?' That's not an example. And Limbaugh isn't even employed by FOX.

When did they call Obama a Communist? I'm calling your bluff. Technically some of those Wisconsin 'protesters' were criminals because they destroyed part of the capitol building.

Obama center right? HAHAHAHAHA! He's about as far left as Jimmy Carter.

  • @Illumirage Far left? No he's center right, the teaparty is far beyond the scale on the right. there is no real leftism in america. Yeah limbaugh, i'm sorry i don't know everything about YOUR country. Can you summarise your opinion about Belgium, or the whole of europe to make it easy? When did they call him a communist? saturday night live some broad did, they call him a socialist all the time. obama is not a socialist-> gross overstatement. I don't like obama but he's not a socialist

  • @alliencedful

Obama's pretty far left, (the fact that you're unaware of this is telling of how much you know on the matter). His policy and track-record clearly illustrates that. Why do you concern yourself with American politics? I don't have the time to study every country in Europe's politics/politicians. That would take way too much time.

Europe? - Socialist, nanny-states, entitlements. Failed multiculturalism. Dismal economy at the moment.

Sat. Night Live is a comedy show, not news.

  • @Illumirage i'd actually liked him if he was left like carter, atleast carter didn't blow up the usa's economy like bush and obama did, causing huge problems in MY country. Fox news is the advocate of coorperations, big business and the richest persons in america. Every tax cut for big business is a good one, every tax cut for the middle class and the poor is bad. The tax cuts didn't work under bush they wont now. Next step kill poor people by not allowing them "expensive" healthcare. sickening

  • @alliencedful

Carter is pretty well unanimously regarded as the most disliked American presidents of all time. I can't even believe some of the words that are coming out of your mouth, at times here. Just...wow.

FOX is NOT the advocate of big-corporations. They continually talk up small business to stimulate econ. growth. Again, you're out of your element here.

    One last note....

  • @alliencedful

You said..."Every tax cut for big business is a good one, every tax cut for the middle class and the poor is bad."

That's blatantly false. You couldn't be any more wrong. They never say that. Again, they defend the middle class time and time again as being the driving force for econ stimulation. Who's feeding you all of these lies? What a fucking joke.

Look, I don't know where you get your news, but your rhetoric is riddled with bullshit and misinformation.

  • @Illumirage "they never say that" ofcourse they are politicians. The top 1% has not had this big a share of the money since the great depression. What's with the bush tax cuts, they don't do annything excep enrich the rich even more? Why does someone like warren buffet come out and says i want to pay more taxes, because i pay les% of my income in taxes then my employees who make a normal living? Why do republicans look to cut everything except for tax cuts for business and the war machine?

  • @alliencedful

No, we were talking about FOX. The FOX staff isn't made up of politicians, except for maybe Huckabee who once was one.

You're quoting Warren Buffet? Are you fucking kidding me? Easy for HIM to say he wants to pay more, he's like one of the richest people on the planet.

    Businesses stimulate econ growth.

War machine? First of all fuck you for comparing us to the Nazis. Second of all, I don't think America wants to become anything less than a superpower, that's why.

  • @Illumirage I don't care how much you dislike carter, reagan was fucking scum, nixon was scum, the bushes were scum, oh look at that all republicans. Well that's to be expected with "democracy" america. Btw why do you only have 2 parties, seems really undemocratic to me.

  • @alliencedful

I just realized you didn't answer any of the questions I had written below. You just kind of went on another random tangent. Dodging questions are we? Hallmark of someone who doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about. Speaking of which..."reagan was fucking scum"? What? Alright, I think I might have to be done with you. You're so out of the loop here it's not even funny.

We have more than two parties.

    You're surpassingly ill-informed.

  • @Illumirage So what's the third party? i mean the relevant party's. you answer none of my questions, i answered your question about fox their obvious mistakes. You say i'm euro trash? well we are not invading brown people's country because we can. Obama might be left for you, he's center right if you look at the historical context of the USA. He's as right as reagan is. What left policies has obama put into effect so far? More troops, more tax cuts, abandoning medicare.

  • @alliencedful

    Libertarian. Moderate. There are others.

I've answered pretty much everything. I said you're Euro-trash only after you called me a redneck & a number of other insults. Oh, yeah, we're invading them because they're 'brown'. Wow. Lay off the Carlin routine.

Socially Obama's about as left as they come. In regards to terror, he's moderate.

What left policies? Obamacare. Stimulus 1.0. Declaring Arizona/Alabama illegal immigrant laws unconstitutional even when he has no say, etc.

  • @Illumirage and wtf where did i call america nazis? i never did, and i don't believe that. You say i'm ill informed not making anny real argument yourself.

You keep hating left wing and europe with no real argument at all, while a lot of the countries in europe are doing much better on a lot of scales than the US.

America already is a super power, but you refuse to build a couple of choppers and tanks less and cut medical care for sick and dieng people? im suspecting you're just an asshole

  • @alliencedful

Normally 'war machine' was associated with the Nazis. That's why I said that.

My argument (now) is that you're wrong and you have no idea what the hell you're talking about. It's not really you're fault, you're European, I don't expect you to know everything about my country. You claim to, but the fact of the matter is you've been pretty consistently wrong.

I don't hate Europe, I actually really like it.

You also put it like medical care is almost unattainable. Thats not the case.

  • @Illumirage actually I too am an american and for a few million of us, medical care is unattainable.

and when they cut the budget, I cant' help but notice they cut aid for the poor first. Any so called cuts to defense have been just not giving them as much as they originally planned (but the total still rises)

Sorry but our medical system sucks. Unless you got money (and lots of money to get a really good insurance plan), Europe has us beat.

  • @booley

Do you have some sort of physical or mental handicap holding you back? Because anyone who wants it bad enough, CAN get it. My brother has a co-worker, a Somali guy who has SEVEN kids. He works three jobs and barely even has time to sleep, between the three of them. He makes it work. If you want it bad enough, you can make it work.

    Quit making excuses.

  • @Illumirage actually I have a pre-existing condition.

and excuse me but I am getting tired of these "anecdotal" stories that never match reality.

Personally I call Bull shit. I work 2 jobs, one of which is killing me. I know too many people who work 2 or 3 jobs and still can't get health insurance. or the insurance takes all their money. Or they think they are covered but it disapears when it's time to pay up.

The idea that millions of americans are lazy is stupid & ignorant.

  • @booley

    What is your condition?

The example I told wasn't an outlying case, it's 100% true.

Do you have an education? Don't expect 3 menial jobs to afford you Bentleys or Mazeratis. Also, you don't NEED to work at a job that's 'killing you', there are others there, you made a choice.

Canadians have it EXACTLY like you want it, and many say they prefer ours. They go to the Dr. and wait for hours just to be seen, if they're even fit in at all.

  • Comment removed

  • @Illumirage so lets think about this.

So you want me to disregard not only my own life experience BUT every credible study, news report and millions of americans in favor of your one short anecdote that you gave without any context or citation at all?

And again you make a lot of assumptions.

I am not looking for a a sports car. I am looking to have gas & power & food. same as millions of others.

You are so wrapped up in your own prejudices you keep making dumb assumptions.

  • @booley

You haven't answered or have dodged about 3 of my questions. Until you do, this can go no further.

  • Comment removed

  • @Illumirage Your questions had no relevance. This isnt' about whether I am "worthy" of sympathy in your eyes or if I can condense my life story into 500 chars to your satisfaction.

And certainly I am not going to give personal health information to a stranger on the internet.

The issue is if our health care system is crappy and that is objectively provable. I have noticed that except for that single anecdote that is not at all typical, you have yet to back up what you claim.

  • @booley

Haha! You couldn't just humor me and answer it? Feel like you're just trying to be difficult.

What would I do with your 'health information' anyway? Give me a fuckin' break. I bet you don't even have a condition, you're just trying to make a point.

No, my main claim was that if you want it bad enough, you will work hard for it, and achieve it. You keep making excuses as to why you're so downtrodden and keep playing the victim card. Get over yourself and man up.

  • @Illumirage and yes our health system sucks.

Stop making excuses for a system that forces millions to do without this basic need, to have to choose between bankruptcy and being alive.

This si why change is so hard. Because there's always people like you ready to defend a crappy system rather then workign to make it better.

  • Since the time Fox News was purchased by Rupert Murdoch, it has been nothing but "Bias Opinion Journalism Masquerading As News". Australian born R. Murdoch became a "Naturalized American Citizen "(1982) to satisfy the legal requirements that only US citizens were permitted to own American Television stations. Rather than remain in the background, he uses his power to politically influence those who don't know any better. Which is a lot of you!

Wake Up America! If there are any of you left!

  • The problem is it's not just Fox who distort the facts. Most of the main stream media lie to us every single day. The notion that America has a left wing bias in our media is nuts. Our media is owned by large capitalist corporations who's only God is money. Their man goal is to make sure the rich stay rich and the rest get the crumbs off the table. Simple really.1% of the American population own 90% of the wealth. How that's a fact.

  • 3:33, what does that have to do with anything?

  • Al Franken is AWESOME!

  • Fox news sux, but so does Franken. Franken now supports the war and nobody but me is calling him out on it. Total fraud!

  • @GimmeSomeTruth1971 he doesnt support the war on afghanistan, he supports a bill that takes soldiers out by july 2011. get your facts right

  • @joewhittles

He supports the war in Iraq. It's documented in the StarTribune. He called Bush's war ; Coleman's war in a campaign commercial. Search Youtube : Franken supports war. If you want to believe his flip-flop, nonsense rhetoric, go right ahead. The man is a fraud.

  • @GimmeSomeTruth1971 not the whole truth. he supported the iraq war initially, that is true, but the general consensus is that a lot of people were misled at that time. Franken freely admits that, because he changed his position. its hardly a flip-flop if the democratic consensus on the Iraq war changed from consent to almost total opposition based on intel that came from iraq.

and the fraud thing is totally unjustified, he hasn't played to the interests of a single private entity.

  • @joewhittles

A change of position is the very definition of flip-flop.

Franken's support of the health care bill is a great example of how he has played into the interests of private entity (the insurance companies). The majority of Americans opposed the health care bill. How does Franken represent the people? How does Franken represent Democracy? I suppose you're going to tell me he has changed his position on that, too.

  • @GimmeSomeTruth1971 if someone changes their opinion due to evidence, then thats an admirable thing. would you rather he never changed his position on the iraq war?

and i'm pretty sure the insurance companies lose out on the health care bill. im from the UK and i know that...

  • they are laughing about men giving there lives show some respect

  • @rmckenna1965 No, they are laughing at the ridiculous claims Fox always makes and then can't defend with anything but nonsense, more lies or name calling when they get called out. Pay attention more, life happens fast.

  • @22Angst

As if Keith Olbermann is always correct....you douche.

  • Wow

    Simple Al !

    Simpleton Franken

a pathetic joke on the american public.

  • @mstaff657 Wow, you're really a ONE NOTE TROLL!

  • @mstaff657 Your mother should have swallowed more often

  • um a troop is not soldiers troop is a group of soldiers retards.

  • You're thinking of a troupe. Nice try though.

  • either way the statement is incorrect.

  • No it isn't.

    Troop is short for Trooper.

Trooper was the title of a cavalry soldier. Eventually the nickname just stuck when referring to soldiers in certain regions of the country(USA) once horseback combat became ineffective.

You are misinterpreting what he is saying because you are thinking of a troupe, and NOT a "troop".

Have you never heard the phrase, "What a trooper!"? It means , "That guy has the dedication of a soldier!"

Know the topic at hand before calling others retards.

  • umm better do a little more thinking when news is reported on troupe they are talking multiple.

not one retard listen to the report.

retard is only those that did not listen.

franken is a liberal spinster and a major retard himself.

  • You are being a jackass and you know it. Stop being inflammatory on purpose, and say something constructive.

  • listen to it, and don't read into what is not there.

just like U.F.O. automatically assumed to be alien space craft.

  • hume was right-dumb clods fooled by frankin-califonians are adult males killing other males-hume was showing you have a bigger chance of dying in in a non war zone than in iraq,6 times in fact-what frankin does is lie-

  • you are truly retarded. Go back to sixth grade and study math and stop voting until you get your GED.

  • @tallcoolone1 -you stupid clown-again hume made correct point, better chance to die in calf than in a war zone-taal cool goof ball-brown won!clown frankin will be in minority next year-

  • Al franken is cool

  • What a concept...a Senator that is bright enough to understand mathematic ratios and funny enough to communicate it's value...BeWARE FOX news...speaking lies with conviction DOES NOT make it the truth!

  • I am in awe of Al Franken and love love the way he kicked Fox's ass on this one.

Go big Al - all the way to the US Senate now, where he will make a difference, despite the efforts of Faux Not-News but Republican Propaganda Channel.

  • @DixieDale

    You're such a fucking idiot.

  • In my opinion, I think I have some renewed hope in our government knowing that Al Franken is in office.

  • @awarenessis

He's senator of my state, and believe me, plenty people here hate him.

  • How many of FOX NN viewers are actually astute enough to contemplate and assess the credibilty of what they present AND ... 'how' they present it? I just read a survey report of comments from FOX NN viewers qualifying why they only 'watch' FOX. The results are quite surprising!

  • Fox news is a toilet rag.... a jewish right wing propaganda tool.

  • Numbers don't lie.

    Al's the Best.

  • Indeed. Numbers don't lie.

    Ronald = 6 letters

    Wilson = 6 letters

    Reagan = 6 letters

    666

Okay, just a little fun with numbers... the right wing nut jobs must hate that one!
