Imagine of the Beatles had never broken up and Lennon never gotten killed... I'd imagine this would be the shit they'd be coming up with circa 1983-86 (considering they were well ahead of their time)... you'd have the of Montreal-esque material by Lennon... and the poppy McCartney material with the occasional guitar-driven jams by George... lol
The band would've ended in 2001 anyway since Harrison died a natural death.
If you can't appreciate the people through their music, then they probably don't really understand the music at all... Kevin Barnes is probably the most prolific singer and composer of my generation.... the fact that he transcends sexual categories only makes his music more enticing. Get over your gay straight paradigm, it's not necessary and only leaves you open to sexual deprivation.
yeah wait till they play in your town- bunch of confusion and few originals - DONT PAY TO SEE THEM LIVE: Michigan- and they dont mention this song or others
@glasses92 yes you do. i buy an extra ticket every time they come to my town(which is kansas so only twice a year) just so they can experience it as much as i have. honestly seeeing them live will change every perception. much love and i hope u see them soon. a definate show worth seeing in your lifetime!!
A few years ago everyone told me "this band, of montreal is playing a show, and they are the best band ever, you have to go to their show". So, I trusted them, but upon arriving all I could ask myself is what the fuck is this crap. And that's still what I say.
this band looks exactly like they should for the music they create. I was worried, i've never actualy seen them before, and imagined rather bland looking people even though the music is so full and adventurous and colorful. And yet the band looks that way to! It really doesn't matter, but it makes me glad.
They are trying to break boundaries by being neither masculine nor feminine. They use androgyny to be different from the other bands out there...I don't see them as "gay."
the problem is immaturity or ignorance... possibly both. Their androgynous efforts are very tasteful, just as much as their music. those who say otherwise need to grow a few more brain cells.
a lot of kids i went to high school with thought that of montreal was "gay" and stupid. i mean, aside from a lot of the homosexual undertones and appearances that occur periodically, they are fantastic. i am not saying that the whole gay thing is a problem, i know that the singer is married to a woman and has kids. i love this band and this song is one of my favorites for many reasons
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
rap is like FLOW... and this song is like, YO! ...feel my weather here, and SO......they both are like....lets go and SHOW .....that we pretty much the same accept we got a diff kind of GLOW =)....ya know...?
That's such a close minded view, there's amazing rap out there. Every music genre has good and bad. There are so many skilled and talented rappers that are so damn poetic and can actually play musical instruments too, so please, go be a close minded dick somewhere else.
their supeeeeeer weird live, specially the ones wearing pigs masks, i wanted just a show focused on the music but ok still

I don't care if they are gay or not, i don't care if they are cereal killers! If there music is good why not?
people just need to get past the facade that being gay is bad.
