I have seen worse as far as remakes go. That being said this wasn't too bad of a movie but it was far from perfect as well. I liked the fact that they alluded to a possibility of Freddy being innocent. According to the mythos he is definately guilty but imagine if he didn't do it? Sheds new light on why he wants revenge so badly. It also would make him a more complex character with more possibilities for character growth and possible redemption. An idea that's not been introduced.

I enjoyed both of the films! I was around and a 19 when the first movie came out, and so enjoyed the remake. I walked away from the new movie feeling like I had seen this same movie BUT, with a different view, GOOD JOB! I can see a part 2 and 3 for sure... For one Nancy's Boy friend in this remake lived, and a lot was not covered in this newer movie that still needs to be done...... LOVE-IT!

I finally got around to watching this movie. And what a piece of shit this thing was. I was nodding out so much during this movie because it was so boring. I had to keep rewinding it when I would pass out. Freddy looked like shit as well. This new makeup he has fucking sucked. There was no clever kills just a couple things stripped from the original like the bedroom scene. Might I add the bedroom kill in the original was ten times better even though it was made over 20 years ago lol.

I have been a fan of this series since it began and I thought they did a really nice job with the movie. It's a shame Englund didnt want to do it anymore but I have to say that I like that they made Krueger a little more serious. It was a nice change since it kind of turned into a joke towards the end.
