Once the aviation medicine training, firefighting training, training to deal with aggressive passengers, evacuation drills, memorising all the safety equipment on all the planes, and... oh yes, serving drinks and peanuts properly, THEN you are allowed to work on the planes!
If you had a heart attack, who on the flight is trained to save your life?!? I think you'd be suprised how quickly cabin crew can go from serving peanuts, to saving lives!
