For all the knows it all: Argentine Tango has different styles. Milongero Tango Salon,Fantasia,stage etc I say to cw0069 the mind of some people is small in black and white but for a true tango dancer the sky is the limit .

close embrace is not for everyone and not possible with many advanced moves.

True. Many moves don't use a close embrace. Unless the male knows what his partner requires, there's no way he can lead her.

I would reject those who do not accept close embrace, and I already ignore any moves without close embrace as not part of tango or milonga. Most moves can be done with close embrace.  If dance is 50cm away, I rather stay home. Or go to salsa.
