With Poison appearing in the Latest Street Fighter x Tekken & Haggar appearing in the Ultimate Version on MvC3.

Would of been great for these Characters to face-off in 3D but at least they're brought to Newer Games, at least that's Fair.

This got cancelled and in its place we got Capcom Fighting Jam...Capcom back then pissed me off so bad, especially when they dissolved Clover, and lately it feels like they're going that way again...

That said, I love SFIV and we're getting playable Poison in SFXTekken, so they're doing some good. Now we just need them to make Rival Schools 3, Darkstalkers 4, Final Fight 4, and Megaman Legends 3! (I'm not bitter, honest <.<)

Technically mrfeelgoodful is right. Some sources stated it sold well, but Atsushi Inaba himself said that VJ1 didn't sell as well as they hoped and said to buy the second game or he'd be fired (the "I'll be fired" part was a joke).

He hit the nail on the head almost with why CFAS was canceled. They did have financial troubles because of their real estate branch, and certain games not selling well.
