Well done Jaki...I have this version..& thought the "Double track" was the only one untill I heard another take last year & thought "That's not right" LOL. Well done!
thanks jackiej61 ; I know I can always count on you to put our MAN in the best light as if he could ever come off looking bad ! I know in my eyes he never has or never will. T.C.E. 4 ever!!!!!!!!!!!
i've played this endless times on my "scratchy Tickle Me EP" which 'ive had over 40 years - I never tire of hearing it - I think Elvis was at his very best during this period. thanks for posting
The single release did not have a spoken verse and was the A-side to Its a Long Lonely Highway. It had an 11-week stay on Billboards Hot 100 chart, reaching #11; and was #1 for 3 weeks on the Easy-Listening chart. It sold over 1,000,000 copies. The single master is also available on the Tickle Me Deluxe Edition.
The LP Master has a spoken verse, and was released on the Tickle Me soundtrack; the spoken verse version is also available on Pot Luck with Elvis, the FTD Pot Luck with Elvis, Elvis at the Movies, From Nashville to Memphis-The Essential 60s Masters, The Very Best of Love, and Tickle Me (Deluxe Edition), which is where this version is from
@Jackiej61too here in the UK we got it was Ep track they but the 2 USA single I'm Yours and (Such An) Easy Question together giving the UK a Tickle me Vol 2 EP
the UK was the only country have Vol 2 of Tickle Me but one of the track was use on the Such a Night Ep It Feels so Right
Written by Don Robertson and Hal Blair. Elvis recorded it June 26, 1961 at RCAs Nashville studios, but it was not released until four years later when it was featured in the 1965 movie Tickle Me.
This is such a very beautiful, romantic, soothing, overlooked and underrated love song and it should be way, way, way better known than it actually is. It's a true masterpiece without a shadow of a doubt. Elvis will always be the greatest ballad singer without a shadow of a doubt. As you know, the very first Elvis album that this lovely gem appeared on was "Pot Luck With Elvis". I own the FTD two disc deluxe edition of this classic Elvis album and the sound quality is greatly improved. 10 Stars
On this one Floyd Cramer is playing both organ and piano.

@Jackiej61too
I'm Yours made the Top Ten in Cash Box magazine! Seems the spoken part was eliminated for the movie and the single.
