good work (looks like more simple song, but still it sound like real thing, and that's never that easy as it may seems IMHO), can't say more as I'm not a drummer, I just did play rockband three times, and I like the drumming a lot. (but would have to learn many new kinds of moves before I can even consider to call it drumming, my brain doesn't like my foot to be independent of my hand... :D )

Is it normal to have this kind of brain blocks at the start and should I simply break it with practice?

@ped7g Ya I had the same problem. And still do to a lesser degree. This is actually an ok song to break that with. The intro is fairly simple but incorporates independent hand and foot movements (This was the 1st song I learned on drums :D )

@TheSicknessIsTheCure last time I did play rockband I did do pretty well on basic beats, but then there are those 70-80's rock classics with so much variety and "breakage", which really hurts my brain :D. Like 1st: foot+red+green (snare/china cymbal?), 2-3-4 nothing, 1st: foot, 2nd red, 3rd green, 4th nothing, repeat = my brain explodes. :D ... will train more next year, planning to buy my own kit (either drums or rockband toy, didn't decide yet)

Great cover. the drums sound great too with one exception, the snare. Try a Remo Controlled Sound Reverse Dot Batter Head on the snare. Tune the batter head alil tighter so it has a good crack and drop the tuning of the bottom head and tighten the snare wires abit. slap a remo richie ring ontop for the right amount of muffling. this setup is one of the most versatile snare sounds. the toms sound AMAZING!!!! the bass could be a lil louder but all in all most accurate cover ive seen of tht song.
