  • you should try building one out of wood then line the bottom with metal and then melting the plastic on to the metal to make a mold of the boat thats what im going to do Im probably going to try and make the plastic atleast 1 inch thick but I think if I can get my friends to save all their plastic bottles and give them to me It wont take that long to do Im only 17 years old I think thats pretty creative for my age dont you?

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWW get a job!

  • It is good for Earth and fun for kids ! Nice job guys!

  • thanks. we like to think we were among the first to build and hope many follow!

  • very creative.

  • Good point Josh!! it is re-using, but recycling is searched more. And yes, when done, we will take our boat to the local recycling center. But we do expect a long life out of the vessel.

  • That's probably more re-USING than recycling. Which is I think even better than recycling. However, when you're done with the boat, you'll recycle it, right? Can you guys recycle in Santa Monica?

  • Right on boys! Way to recycle! Very inventive!

  • Swell Fellows !

You're really taking recycling to the next level.

It makes me think there should be a new sport, trash boat racing.

  • Awesome Guys ! Your taking recycling to the next level.

  • we used over 300 plastic bottles to make this.
