  • What a wonderful video. I especially like how you mark the ending of The Jam with Paul Bruce and Rick running in different directions and Paul then cycling with Mick Talbot. And how he smiles at minute 2 just before he opens the gate to his solo career. I'm sure Paul Weller likes it, too!

  • Still my favourtie video of Paul Weller on U tube. EVER.

  • nicely done

  • this is my new favourite. thank you so fucking much!!

  • Just BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANKS.

  • one small quarell abou this video

i wish it was more of weller circa 2004 onwards..the end is 2002..when he had his worst look i feel..short hair didnt really suit him did it

  • @forestfan3 The Hyde park clips circa 2002..I think Weller looks terrific! Shorter hair, longer hair...I could care less, he is gorgeous, and once he sings he is outright beautiful.(Being female I see him through my own eyes).

  • To have that kind of longevity takes a special talent. And Paul Weller has a very special talent.

  • some people have talent others have it thrust upon them.ive loved this guy all all my life, but to watch my life life go before me is absolutetly amazing. Thanks and beware you have a telent aswell keep it real.THIS IS VERY GOOD

  • @eatmypies Thanks. I love this man too. He sings my life to me. Ahh we are so lucky to have him with us at this moment in time!

  • WOW ABSOLUTELY BREATH TAKING never ever could i put the man the way you have, youve excelled my friend this is truelly arwsome GOOD ON YEH

  • He hasn't been given the credit he deserves. He is one of the greatest in music, I think he is as great as The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie - you name it.

Paul Weller is legendary. Paul Weller is truly a musical genius.

  • Superb video, excellent well done! Really well put together!

  • Great job, mate. Perfectly done.

  • Good Fucking Business!

  • as freddy says ..pw was my insperation from the start.! and still is he is so GOD like in music ..i cannot thank him enough throughout hes gen of music...which will also be played on my last..day....changin man....

  • This is a superb video, the timing, balance, content, excellent!

I first discovered the Jam in 78 with (one of their few covers) David Watts but it was Eaton Rifles that bought me lock stock & err yeah. & there's still no song greater than 'Going Underground'.

Paul's creations are now with me to the grave.

And if in the unlikely chance you ever get to read this PW, my message would be 'thanks for being one of few true inspirations in my life and demonstrating that need for change'.

  • the changing hair, the changing clothes, the changing seasons, the changing of the guard, the changing of cherished memories...but above all the fans like me who never change...loyalty to a man who forever as been part of all our lives ...keep the faith

  • Really amazing!

  • That was FUCKIN ACE !!!! Sent good bumps all over my body, very well done, very well put together.... excellent stuff.... the best i've seen.... superb.... can't say enought good stuff. Nice one mate

    JB

  • this is great! where's the footage from 2:48- 2:53 from? i've never seen it before.

  • Brilliant video, no words good enough for Weller!

  • Perfect selection of images. I love It!

  • this is excellent ! congratulations on anothe fantastic pw video :)

  • Bloody brilliant!

This is a superbly produced tribute to a man who clearly not only understands the need for change in ones life, but has also demonstrated its effectiveness in personal growth. Weller's incarnations have been example to us all, for to spur the creative that skin needs to be shed.

I love how this video not only celebrates Paul's evolution but also emphasises that terrific bond between him & his loyalfan base- of which I'm one!

  • Still rocking, still solid & yet still changing Mr Paul Weller!

  • This is a great video. . . Thanks for sending it to me.

  • @whirlpoolzend yes i agree... i dunno if he recognised the need for change so easily but he did grow as an artist as we all can see..and as jools holland once said this man has matured through the years, like a fine vintage, so let us now stick our hooters in and uncork the musical bottle..
