He is talking about presentation, context, & framing. Story telling 101; who's perspective to you take as the storyteller? What adjectives do you use to describe the players & events...which ones do you leave out?
All this & more adds to a very easy manipulation of the audience (eg YOU).
"Are they freedom fighters battling for their rights or are they terrorist trying to tear down the structure that protects us?"
Those with the voices decide, you listen & agree.
