I live in Limerick and just wondering could you tell me were this viewing area is, because me and my da was trying to find it. So we could show the planes to my little bro. Could you tell me were it is please.
@deco0795 Assuming your coming from the N18(Limerick to Ennis), leave that road and go onto the N19(the off ramp just before the new motorway starts, go straight down the N19 until you get to a large roundabout, there are 5 exits, ......
@BODKillinator.... the 1st and 2nd will bring you into Shannon town, the 3rd will bring you to the airport and the 4th will bring you onto the R472, the 5th is back where you came from. TAKE THE 4TH EXIT, you'll come to another roundabout very quickly, TAKE THE 2ND EXIT, follow this road until your at the Shannon Aerospace facility, turn LEFT towards it but then immediately turn LEFT down a ver small road and follw it in to the viewing area
omni transport troops through shannon, no military flights will ever be shown on timetables. I spent 24 years working there, A walk through the cabin of those dc10's would really wake you up, Machine guns, personal firearms and knives cant be removed from aircraft so they leave them on their seats, some serious shit in those. Even once a servisair employee stole 2 hand guns off the plane for Limerick gang! was never made public cause if it had, it would have showed the goverment lied!!
I dont about that, The DC-10 in ths video wasn't pumping out any smoke, all I saw from it was vapour trails coming from the wing-tips and over the wing top surface because it was foggy and the air was quite moist
I didnt think so either, but there always seems to be some sort of military(US) related aircraft,eg:
the OAI Dc-10's are used for troop transport aswell as a new OAI 757, theres the globemaster, Us Navy DC9, a C130 Hercules, various military 737's, and a number of light US military jets(non fighter),
Theres a good chance if your at shannon then theres a us military aircraft there somewhere
Perhaps your right, I just read that they were used to transport troops, I never actually read that they were US troops, just an assumption on my part, but your more than likely right
Although having looked it up just now, it appears that Omni do lease their aircraft to the US dept of defence, so perhaps they do transport US troops via Shannon

I wouldnt go that far, but I generally dont complain about the US jets in Shannon, as a spotter it provides some nice treats:D
BODKillinator 2 years ago
yeah maybe. that aerlingus A330 looks ominous after todays events!

Thats what I thought today, What was stopping what happened today of happening to one of Aer Lingus's A330's at any stage,
Then again I suppose we need to wait and see what actually happened first.
