I hate that Aeons (summons) are pretty much pointless after a certain point, given that you can eventually hit for 99,999 each hit and do nearly a million damage with Tidus' overdrive alone, and Wakka's is even stronger. Summons should always be the most powerful tool at your disposal- they're gods after all...you'd think they'd be stronger than a dude with a sword and a blitzball. At least KOTR in VII still had more power than Omnislash, if only a little.
@sonbuhitsunei The only useful Aeons were Yiojimbo, Anima and the magnus sisters. In FF XIII all of the summons were useless, I never ever used them again after maxing my characters out.
Everybody in the game can break 9999, you just need to break the damage limit. Bahamut is the prime example because he's the first Aeon to actually have it already (his mega flare is the first 9999 breaking attack you get.)
Bahamut is capable of breaking the damage limit with any of his attacks, but Mega Flare is probably the first time you'll see the damage exceed 9,999.
I know because he already HAS the ability that breaks 9999. But he is by no means the strongest. There are stronger Aeons like Anima, Magus sisters (overkill much?) and the cheap Yojimbo (Zanmato the crap out of all of em...)
