  • if you put a solar panel on top to shade the uh... drivers (?) - you may significantly increase the amount of power.

  • Nice; but it looks like more energy is needed powering this quadricycle than each individual either walking or running on his own. Was this vehicle 100% human powered? I thought I saw some transmssion shaft and diferential gears at the rear axle end.

  • Talk about a misnamed video. I love the vehicle, but NOTHING was explained about it. Not mechanically, not technically, functionally or socially.

  • what would the price on one of these be? i would for sure think about getting one.

  • how fast can you get one of those to go?

  • Great idea, but the polar ice caps would have to completely melt and the oceans would have to start simmering before people (especially Americans) would make such a sacrifice to help save the environment. I can't see this catching on in any big way. I honestly hope I'm wrong, though.

  • great copy. funny.

    just wait and see

    mugster my man

  • @mugflub Don't worry, You're wrong about a lot of things.!

  • Great idea, but how well does it hold up against an suv in crash tests? Any plans for airbags? How good are the brakes? I come from a 35 year automotive background,

and I REALLY hope it catches on....I just think it's a long way from being practical.

  • Blobster-

the laws of physics can't be repealled

it takes fundamental change at all levels

no more 4000lb cars and one person

that's like asking how does a SUV hold against a semi

    EK=EK

we need to go beyond the simple into areas uncharted

  • @BlobbyRL Really, four adults to operated this thing, No weather protection.. The chance of a heart-attack and you think it's unpractical?

  • Sweet but one thing wont u get tired from pushing and pulling? but itz a great idea i hope ur company getz bigger also where can u find these cars?

  • Good start guys!!!

  • when will an example of this very fine engineering be available for sale?

  • The process from imagination to completion of a project like this is an incredible difficult and deserves respect and congratulations .However, the whole green philosophy is ridicules. Global warming is ridicules. The universe is meant to sustain life. There is nothing wrong with using natural resources to heat a house or motor an SUV or dry your cloths A novelty car that requires four people to power it is useless.

  • use the sun to clothesline

do some push ups to stay warm

    entropy is cool

cars available in about half a year from now...

  • If the universe was meant to sustain life, wouldn't you think there would be a little bit more of it out there? Maybe a source for this statement would be useful. From a reputable peer reviewed journal...

  • @Watthiman If the universe is meant to sustain life why have there been so many mass extinctions? And no there is nothing wrong with using natural resources. Like using wood to heat our homes and cook our food was fine, until all the wood was gone and the land started to turn into desert.

  • @WhichDoctor1 The "mass extinctions" you speak of are of the marine realm not the terrestrial type. There is only one single terrestrial "mass extinction" promoted and that is of the dinosaurs .. and there are plenty of Palaeontologists who believe dinosaurs never even existed in the first place. Your wood analogy is so silly as not to warrant a response. The green agenda was created funded and promoted by the elite for two reasons, to steal your money and natural/constitutional rights.

  • @Watthiman Ok your first statement is wrong and even if it wasn't it wouldn't counter my point. Your second is also wrong. Your third statement doesn't make sense. You said there is nothing wrong with exploiting natural resources in what ever way you wont. The fact that there are many places around the world where unchecked deforestation has led to disaster, Easter Island being the most explicit, seems to counter that. I dont see what is silly about it. Your fourth statement is paranoia.

  • @WhichDoctor1 You say one foolish thing after another. You also lie with respect to what I said attempting a straw-man argument. To put it nicely, you have no idea why you believe what you do but you will defend your ignorant beliefs until your last breath. The only advice I can give to you is to stop believing the people on TV who tell you what to believe about our world. Lots of evils but global warming is not one you need to worry about. Worry about the water, air, the food and the medicines.

  • @Watthiman Thought it would get there eventually, Ad hominem attacks are so much easier than well reasoned arguments :-p

  • Cool. Let's go beyond bikes for a moment- a fast draft line is no real big push- this is automotive technology- it's different big mass muscle groups. The new ones are 1/3 the kg and have a 20kW assist to light 'em up. Keep riding wheelies.

  • I'll bet it takes more energy than four ten-speed bikes riding in single file. There's more weight, and more aero drag with this unit. But great work!

  • id buy one if it came in a 2 seater, otherwise i have to call up like 4 friends to go get cigs. haha.

  • Fair question- It turns out a push-pull system is more wattage than just legs.

there are plenty of 'bike' cars out there- we wanted to make on based on Automotive technology (Hot Rod) - This chassis can handle a 20k watt motor assist. Try that on a 'bike' car. Thanks!

  • great question Skinny

ready to take pinks from most any VW van

    CG

  • Whats the 1/4 mile time on this beast

  • Stykish :D
