I used to dislike this man when i was a kid but as i grow to know him and watched him , i came to like him and the more i watched him , the more i can feel his warmness , his joy and humility , George Foreman is a trully a champion no doubt about it :)
Hahaha, the impossible dream, foreman is so cool...
everyone laughed at him, mocked him and took the piss when he announced a comeback. but big george proved them ALL wrong, i rank this guy easily in the top 5 heavyweights of all time.
Fjohnny: this is a man singing a song, the man is on a quest, he has a dream, and do everything to make that dream come true, and guess what.....despite being written off, despite being joked about, he did it! He did the impossible dream.... and damn, l'm so proud l saw it live on television.....
@ 1:44,,,his deepest emotion was revealed,,,it even made him swallow the grip of the message. In our most challenging moments of life, when its just you and God,,,, we all strive to be,,, that "one" man. When you come up from nothin' like George did, it's all the more sweet. When he pointed to himself @ 1:44, it took even his breath away!!! Thank you George, God is so faithful.
who would have believed it, he's had an amazing boxing career, an amazingly successful grill career and hes still got the balls to destroy this good song.

Aside from the lack of singing, I'm greatly disappointed at the fact that this beautiful song is used in the context of boxing. Boxing has nothing to do with heroism or ideals.
What George accomplished as an amatuer, then his first stint as a pro, then his comeback and champ again.. he goes down in history to this point as the greatest heavyweight fighter EVER.
Although the lyrics of the song can be used as inspiration for George, this is absolutely terrible. They should have just played a great version, like Elvis or Goulet and showed his boxing clips behind it. I heard that Riddick Bowe might be doing a stage production of Guys and Dolls as Nathan Detroit as well...heheh
Magnificent! I don't think I've ever heard a song done with as much feeling as George put into this one. And considering the context, it was very fitting.
never give up on your dreams. It is what we live for. George Foreman showed just because you get a little older you should never, ever give up on your dreams.
I've been looking for this for so long! I remember watching this with my father before HBO broadcasted the fight when I was a kid. This fight was very special to him and I. Thanks a lot for posting it.
Sorry if the title was misleading. I thought of it as George Foreman *singing* the same way a lot of rap music people *sing* to the beat. Thanks for all the positive responses to the video though :)
i thought "OMG" but in many ways, foreman's version makes more sense than elvis' or tom jones, or ANY "singer's"! after all, it is from "man of lamancha" KEEP TILTING AT THOSE WINDMILLS, GEORGE!!!
When Big George came back everyone laughed and thought it was a joke they said he was out of shape and to old well Big George had the last Laugh and the joke was on all of us. He had the greatest comeback in boxing history , and he truly lived the impossible dream . I think George deserves a movie also .
George Foreman=Inspiration.

"Boxing has nothing to do with heroism or ideals"
Tell that to the millions of American's who rallied behind Joe Louis when he beat Max Schmeling.
Tell that to the hundreds of club fighters who pour their heart and soul into fighting for next to no money.
Tell that to ANY Arturo Gatti fan.

I was disappointed that he didn't actually sing, though.
