Absolutely.. I'm in the process of adding every single person that entered.. Youtube stops you after a while so ive been adding to the limit every time i sit at the computer.. doesn't take long at all.. Everybody should do it.. It'll bump up our views, ratings, subscribers.. you name it.. I'd like to see some of these hardworking guys get a few more views than some clip of Naruto or some shit like that.

First of all, we as a group of filmmakers appreciate the opportunity to be creative in front of a worldwide audience. The opportunity to compete against other creative individuals, who like ourselves have a dream to create art, has been a worthwhile endeavor.

No offense to anybody here, but all the vids I've watched so far (only about 30) have been kinda cliche or just plain sloppy. Can someone please give me the names of some vids here that are actually a Little more professionally done? Like shot on a decent camera, edited nicely, proper lighting, no cheesy special effects, etc...

It was really just supposed to be a test for our HD camera, not a contest entry, but unfortunately we ran out of time. first of all, the things you said are a slap in the face to some of the people who are starting out. not everyone here has the funds or get a camera let alone the access to a nice cam. I did stop motion with a crappy cam and I think mine turned out pretty darn good, I think it's just plain rude to say anything. many of these people are entering their first film festival. As several of the people i've learned from tell me, it's not your equip., it's what you do with it that counts.

There is nothing Wrong with any of these videos, and I realize that it might be some people's first time (believe me, I've made much much worse than any of these). I also realize that it is not the equipment that makes a good video. Hey does anybody know the best format and max resolution youtube can handle for HD? I messed with settings all night and this is what I got... ("Mate" from hundley2010)... downsized from 1080p to 720p and exported as an avi. Used Adobe Premiere Pro. But it still looks like crap!! Any suggestions?
