Really good - as for circular breathing - I've heard about it, but thought it must be a myth - I guess not - I have to check this out - seems miraculous to be able to do it - I must try it - any suggestions?
wow you inspre me. i am having problem with my wind. I sometimes think it is from smoking longtime ago and it makes me want to quit and stick to the piano but when I here you. I will stick with it this little harp it tough lol. I will donate I wish you the best love.
Christelle, Thank you for what you have given to us so soulfully. I am catching up on musical aspirations of childhood, now at age 57. You are a wonderful inspiration to the spirit and soul of music - your cd is going to be a real winner. Hard to choose, but it does seem like this song should be on it - my best, from Clifford
UNBELIVEABLE!!! Thank you Thirsty for sharing this with me....you are right my heart was completely melted and I had goose bumps all over me....cant wait for the CD to come out!
This whole song is smoking hot!!! But from 257 thru 343 is the most intriguing piece of work Ive ever heard. This song melts more than snow it melts hearts too.
Christelle~ You never cease to amaze me with your talent- in fact you've gotten me into learning the harmonica seriously so I thank you- I hope you'll accept a donation for your first album as my way of saying 'thank you' for the inspiration you've given me. And... rock on;)
Amazing Christelle. Your former oboe circular breathing played a great part here. I don't know of another harpist on the net who's sound is as tender as yours. Cinq etoiles tous les jours.
When you are sustaining the long 9 hole blow bend...you looking like you are swallowing while blowing. Is that somehow linked to getting more air (circular breathing)? Or is that just one long breath?
Damn, that was good! I especially liked that section from about 3:00-3:45, I found it very intriguing. The black and white or sepia effect is also perfect for the mood of this piece.
Actually these Suzukis, this is a Manji, are very reasonably priced. I just purchased one for $40. I do have a couple of new harmonicas on order from Harrison Harmonicas. Those are priced at $135 each. The unique thing about them is that they are the only harmonicas totally manufactured in the U.S. and will have individually replaceable reeds.
I used to be a Seydel endorsee (I still like these harps) but I've discovered last year, the Suzuki Manji M-20 and for me this is the best harmonicas out of the box.
Wow! That made me cry. And that's rare ;)
Very well played Christel!

this is my favorite performance. i like the staccatto thoughtfully placed and your vibrato comes across as being authentic. Your music is believable.

I just wrote this verse after hearing you play this song; it inspired to write these lyrics to your song:
Never cease. Never cease to amaze me.
You're mine - all mine.
I've got you in my sights baby - & you're all mine
And we're gonna play the blues until the end of time...
I found you on YouTube when I was really really down
I found you on YouTube when I was really really down
I'm so glad I found you
And thanks for being around

I wanted to say "damn", but someone beat me to it. That is one soulful composition.
I take it these Suzukis are a lot more money, C? (whoa, 1:58 what a great drawn out note . . .)
I'm curious, what would you say is the Cadillac of harmonicas? Is there a custom or very limited maker out there?
