  • so this is the animal that was later tortured on the set of Water For elephants?

  • @fowad27, yep. "Have trunk will travel" is an animal abusive company.

  • @fowad27 PETA and animal rights extremist must run your life if that is what you believe.

  • @Suzieq3737 I'm sorry you think that.

  • banksy is a genius!!

  • Banksy is clearly a self referential idiot. To paint a wild animal and use it in his this way to me is on a scale with pedophilia. Banksy is a coward and an imbecile and has no merit beyond that of a mugger or drug dealer.

  • doesn't matter whether it was toxic or not its still animal abuse and gives the message that its ok to use animals to express ones own opinion.

If i buy a polar bear skin to support my culttural view to my friends by decorating my home or put on the wall and call it my art of expression so it must be art thats ok.

Bullshit, banksys hit the big time and comes in the pants as all do self imposed up my own arse celebrities.

  • haha i more wanna know how he even got the lephant!

  • it may be non toxic but look at the poor thing! its surrounded by people and flashing lighs in a small room probably scared shitless! street art good. animal art not so good

  • The elepjant doesnt seem to care to be perfectly honest its just chillin eating hay if it was botherred i thinkn the whole building would be alerted as it trampled through it.

  • Uh... how 'bout those starving people?... living in utter squalor... with nothing to eat... and little to no medical assistance... or decent drinking water... or suitable housing... and so on and so forth... that's... uh... pretty fucking cruel...

  • good lord how long must've that taken lol

  • This isnt fucking cruelty this is true art. i look up to him for all the inspiration he has given to me as an artist and others alike.

  • I bet you people would feel better in big business sold you the skin of the dead animal with LV stamped all over it. Your new hip hip jacket...

  • Jackasses. Elephants love people and attention, I'm really sure he would much rather be in a circus with a bunch of screaming children and being whipped vs. being coddled and painted with washable paint. They roll in mud in nature, like they care. Insanely great stunt, thats what it takes to be an art legend.

  • In response to robbf23:

Paint that washes off, is no different than clothes that come off. With that being said, corporations tell us how we should look ALL THE FUCKING TIME.

You may want to think about that, if your brain will allow such a task.

  • are you trying to say that covering my body with toxic paint is just like putting on a t-shirt in the morning?

i don't think i'm the one that needs help thinking.. wow, youtube is full of dumbass motherfuckers.

  • That's why you're here I suppose.

P.S. The paint was non-toxic lol.

Either way, this video got you to react on such an involved level, that Banksy would only be flattered. Another job well done by a true artist.

  • it is non toxic it was corn based paint

  • if you researched anything about the preparation that went into this aspect of the exhibit, you'd probably think twice about instantly labeling it animal cruelty. i as an animal rights activist made sure to do so. although i wouldn't expect anyone with a vocabulary like yours to research much of anything.

  • it doesn't look like whoever set up this show did any research on the natural behavior of elephants. yeah, it might be a better situation then working for a circus, but that doesn't mean much. all to make the point, "There's an elephant in the room. There's a problem we never talk about." real clever.. he should have just left the elephants in his stencils.

  • there's really no point in arguing the necessity, or perhaps lack there of, of the extremity of his stunt. i think the point at hand rather is that, whether you like it or not, he certainly got people (yourself included) talking about more than their own mundane lives for once. i respect your spirit, though you may use it in ways that i'd never. hold onto it.

  • why didnt you just kill the poor fucker, FUCK BANKSY YOU FUCKING IDIOT

  • I understand people see this as animal cruelty. This elephant has been in movies, and has had paint on it before. It was NON TOXIC. You don't see them whipping it, do you?

  • @robbf23 dude, you're lame.

  • @BTC141 dude, that's fucking deep.

  • @robbf23 rob you're right about animal cruelty. from the make-ups used to not letting the elephant sleep for days because those bastards didn't want the paint to get messed up. ha, she didn't pretend to actually care until someone called animal protection services. fuck banksy.

  • @robbf23 shut up dickhead and enjoy the art animal lover

  • @PinkyNPurkyX666 = turd.
