@theDJJOR Thanks for the comment! I have looked at my videos, and you are quite right, on this one I AM bringing the hi-hat stick way high. I think I know why. For me, 8th notes on the hi-hat are the standard. In this song, it's quarter notes, so I am counting on the down and then again on the up. That way my right foot doesn't get confused. Maybe ugly, but it works! See me video of No One Like You where I am doing both at different times and you will see what I mean. Thanks again!
That was pretty solid. Especially for only playing for a couple months. One thing you could try later on is to not follow the track so much and improv a little more, but only time will help with that.
