I don't hope Obama fails. Quite contrarily, I hope he succeeds. Why? Because if he is a successful president, than that means that the US is a successful country. However, with him already beating the constitution to death (I really like my 2nd amendment, leave it the fuck alone), contrary to his promises not to, I don't see him doing the honest, good things that this country needs right now.
Define "Assault Weapons", as it stands very few people have what is actually defined as an "Assault Weapon". It is incredibly difficult to get the federally mandated license for those weapons and there is a hefty tax on them. And don't make me cite sources, I will happily fill this entire comment thread with sources citing him in interviews, his staff choices, his current administration actions, etc. Here have yet another liberal blinded by liberal propaganda. Also Dear Debsview the unemployment rate under Bush's tax cuts were 12.7% which is a full percent lower than under Clintons high taxes. That results in more than a couple million jobs. To put it pratically, what would you do if no federal taxes were taken out of your paycheck? I bet you would save more and spend more and the economy would be a lot better off. Or do you actually think that if you were allowed to keep more of your hard earned money that you would be worse off?

Who created and voted in the legislation to get people making $40,000 a year into quarter million dollar homes, which they could never afford? Democrats. Who was in bed with Freddy Mac? A Democrat. But, to be fair, the blame rests just as equal on the republican side of the house, for allowing this to happen. While I agree partially, I still disagree. The blame IS split, Republicans & Democrats. The difference is, during the Clinton administration, the Glass/Steigall Act was repealed. This led to the greed and mismanagement of the banking industry. That was a Democratic move. Republicans, in part, afterwards, were responsible for oversite, which they did not provide. So who is MORE at fault? The ones who handed a five 5yr old a loaded gun, or the one's who should have told him never to fire it?

The bill that ultimately repealed the Act was introduced in the Senate by Phil Gramm (Republican of Texas) and in the House of Representatives by Jim Leach (R-Iowa) in 1999.
Turns out the only democrat blame is that clinton signed it when he should have vetoed it. Other than that it's the usual suspects pulling the usual theft via deregulation and well researched loopholes.

Most Conservatives, myself included, view Bush not as a catastrophic failure like you do, but as a failure none-the-less. You claim that we blame Obama for everything, yet here you sit blaming Bush for ALL of these problems, none of which existed until Democrats took control of congress, yet you sit here and blame bush. Take your head out of your ass and research what you say, you are a blind liberal.

All liberals who criticize Bush during his admin are anti-American, anti-patriotic, and I am glad we burned their CDs. I am Rush *GOP Messiah* Limbaugh, & I want Obama (and America) to FAIL! Criticizing Obama is fine, b/c our country must FAIL! I know what is right for I am thrice divorced, convicted drug addict and pedophile (lots of Viagra) on trip to Dominican Republic. If you are a Republican politician, do NOT criticize me otherwise u will end up apologizing to the GOP Messiah soon.

Another one of Rush's loser followers....why do you listen to someone who has NO form of education past high school....why doesn't Rush run for President since he knows everything....I'm sure the few right winged nutjobs like yourself would vote him but you won't win another election for a very long time with people like you associated with ANY party!

I'm a right-wing nut job? Because I state fact and reason I am a nut job? A person doesn't have to have a formal education to be smart, that is the flaw with liberal thinking, is that everyone has to have 18 years in college, listening to outspoken leftist poli-sci professors.
There is more to the world than college, Deb. I have seen the worst this world has to offer, I have seen what the world really is (When you go to Afghanistan, you will too. Oh wait, you won't, you are spineless)
