  • Can they crawl up those walls? i have seen those same bins in walmart so far im having trouble keeping them contained.

  • the females will be plumper and shinney as to the duller nymphs

well thats how i do it

  • can you please tell me how you tell the diference between females and large nymths? please reply cuz im trying to convince my mom to let me bring roaches in the house haha

  • How much was the 5O gallon rubbermaid container?

  • The lizard at the end looked like he was trying to bash the roaches head in

  • yeah true i had two in my house they went down not up and the ones that have no wings are usually with eggs

  • if the males can flutter cant they escape?

  • @Kjuice7750 Not if the container is tall with smooth walls. They can only flutter forward. They hardly get any lift. It's more of a short hop that they use mostly for display purposes when confronting another male. A cricket jumping has more potential to escape a container than a dubia. A tall, smooth wall is more than enough to keep them contained.

  • notice at the start the black is the stupidest

  • hey so you just leve them alone in the cage and they will breed .... you dont have to separate them ?

  • Is it bad if the roaches in your colony gradually turn black? a lot to all of my roaches that are adult usually are doing that

  • hey is ur tegu from varnyard herps

  • What do you feed yours?

  • is this enough to start a colony ive got 1 male and 4 females and 3 jeuveniles that could be a male so is that enough

  • where do you get thr water crystals?

  • how would u clean that? and how often?

  • they fly they look like they have wings

  • @jackrussellova No they don't fly. The males can flutter for a second but that's it. The females don't have wings.

  • and you should NOT be feeding adult roaches to any lizard because they have spikes on their legs and it can either cause internal damage and can cut up their throat an mouth..just sayin

  • you didnt say anything about the heating or food really¸..

  • @lizardgirlkelsey part II u fucking idiot

  • @crashbangspen part ll what? dont call me a fucking idiot, look whos talking :/

  • they give live babies?

  • @Beardyz they give birth to an egg sack and suck it back in and it hatches inside of them and then they give birth to live babiess yes

  • do they smell

  • nope

  • How many months till the individual b. dubia has reached an age apt for breeding?

  • would care video work for lobster roaches

  • umm do u sell them?

  • where can u buy them??

  • How many would a bearded dragon eat a day? A baby, for that matter...

  • How ever many crickets your bearded dragon eats divided by 4...

  • Great video, I just started a dubia colony a few weeks ago and I love them, hate crickets. Hey whats the name of the song at the end where you feed your tegu?

  • It's a song my Apocolyptica called "O Fortuna"

  • Will they eat their babies? Do you separate them?

  • No to both

  • Lol... I love the Music at the end. Good Choice. lol

  • Great Tutorial, I'm going to make the transition to these guys, I hate crickets. 5*

  • i have two questions

can you house these in a 20 gallon aquarium?its dark in my room

and can you feed these to a leopard gecko making sure its the right size?

  • You can put them in anything you want. Aquariums will work. Yes your Leopard should love them!

  • Great vid! Are these roaches good for a pacman frog? (Ceratophrys cranwelli). Not too fat? Thanks.

  • Yes, they will provide great nutrition provided you gutload them with good food.

  • What type of reptiles are these good for?

  • Most insect eating lizards.

  • Very cool video.

I like your part I too!

Really good to know since I'm thinking about starting my own colony for my bearded dragon.

What's a good sized Tupperware tub i should start with?

I'm going to be breeding the colony WITHOUT my parents knowing..haha

so I feel like I really don't want the transparent tupperware that I use for my crickets.

I thihnk I'm going to order from theroachguy, he seems pretty good.

Do you knw when the females will be mature enough to breed?

    thanks!

  • About how many can u hold in a 40 or 55 gallon.

  • 1000s

  • i love this vid!!!
