can you please tell me how you tell the diference between females and large nymths? please reply cuz im trying to convince my mom to let me bring roaches in the house haha
@Kjuice7750 Not if the container is tall with smooth walls. They can only flutter forward. They hardly get any lift. It's more of a short hop that they use mostly for display purposes when confronting another male. A cricket jumping has more potential to escape a container than a dubia. A tall, smooth wall is more than enough to keep them contained.
and you should NOT be feeding adult roaches to any lizard because they have spikes on their legs and it can either cause internal damage and can cut up their throat an mouth..just sayin
Great video, I just started a dubia colony a few weeks ago and I love them, hate crickets. Hey whats the name of the song at the end where you feed your tegu?
Can they crawl up those walls? i have seen those same bins in walmart so far im having trouble keeping them contained.

Very cool video.
I like your part I too!
Really good to know since I'm thinking about starting my own colony for my bearded dragon.
What's a good sized Tupperware tub i should start with?
I'm going to be breeding the colony WITHOUT my parents knowing..haha
so I feel like I really don't want the transparent tupperware that I use for my crickets.
I thihnk I'm going to order from theroachguy, he seems pretty good.
Do you knw when the females will be mature enough to breed?
thanks!
