@SamsunSony123 the ones that you see online are not fully functional. They are just 3x3 cubes with extensions. Please PM me a link to where you find this.
@SamsunSony123 I have a very very hard time believing that however I don't' live everywhere around the world, however if it's rubiks brand it would definitely be on the website and it's not. Maybe somebody made it. The next time your there take a picture and show me.
Just a small tip. When super-gluing plastic it's always good to pin the two pieces together with a bit from a paperclip or any small steel rod. Just drill a really small hole through both pieces and then add the pin and some superglue. It makes the bond a lot stronger and more durable.
@foil666 yeah but then I have a hole in my pieces. I dunno, makes sense I guess but I've never had any kind of problem just holding the pieces together for a couple minutes.
@crazybadcuber And that's when you bring out the epoxy sculpt, or drill in an unseen area if one is available. Mind you, it isn't a necessity, for a puzzle like this, but when dealing with parts that are under more stress it's just safer.
you don't have to use a mitre box and saw like that. A hacksaw would work. You have to have sandpaper though. I'd suggest just cutting the pieces close to where they need to be cut and just sanding the rest down. It's not all that expensive considering your getting a custom puzzle that is a quality puzzle and is not mass produced.
I started making my proportional 3x3x5 out of a C4U cubic 3x3x5. There's a looot more work involved and I'm kind of upset that I didn't just buy a crazy 3x3. But my mod is almost finished and I am very proud that I was able to pull it off.
@tianyulu You can use rubiks pieces too, but the whole thing is to use pieces that are more square than others. If you use regular 3x3 pieces then there will be holes in the cubbies and you'd have to fill them with apoxie sculpt if you wanted it to look really good. If you don't care about looks at all then you could use them for sure. The 3x3x4 pieces are perfect looking, that's why they are used =)
@Katana221985 If I'm lucky and don't get parity too much it would take me about a minute and a half in total. This was just super slow because I was walking viewers through it.
Isn't the guy who made the tutorial named CBCubes, not CBCuber?

Are there any differences between this homemade fully proportional 3x3x5 and the C4U cubic 3x3x5 cube? (except the shape of course)
In the solving, the lockups, or parity maybe?

Hey Dan,
What can I use other than the saw? All I got is a hacksaw with no box. The cuts will be messed. Also, those cubes are expensive!!!

Can you just use extra 3x3 pieces for the gluing on the inner circle 3x3 pieces? Does it need to be 3x3x4?
