Hello I downloaded Counter-Strike 1.6 and then after that I downloaded Earth's Special Forces. I put the ESF folder inside my Counterstrike folder. I followed everything the guy told me to do in the video. So I tried to start it up by clicking on counterstrike but it comes up saying "Half-Life has stopped working"

The game might not work on Windows 7

I have Windows 7 and ive tried downloading this game so many times

Ive done it with Half-Life and also CS. Maybe I need Half-Life 2?

@UkMicky09 You need to go to Control Panel > System. And on the left hand side there is a tab that says Advanced system settings. Click on that and click on the Advanced tab. Then under Performance click on Settings. Then click on the Data Execution Prevention tab. Make sure it says Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select. Then just click on add and go to the Half-Life.exe in the Steam folders.

Hope this fixes your problem.

half-life is a game made by the company 'valve' and a 'mod' is taking the game (half-life) and changing it around to make an entirely different game, a modification if you will. ESF 1.2.3 is pretty fun you should try it out

Nope they've halted progress on it after like 4 years, no transformations at all it looks like. Untill they eventually release open source and someone with half a brain adds them in.
