There was no use in trying to tell him a car shaped more or less like a brick with a combined horsepower of about 120 ain't gonna go 150. I was thinking that maybe the speedo was in K.P.H. and that's what he was reading. I had a Kawasaki H2 750 up to 265! This was in W. Germany in '75. (yeah, that was K.P.H...)

Anyone who is not obsessed with gas mileage, and deluded enough to believe their prius is actually helping the environment knows that the prius is garbage. I get 36 mpg in my civic, it is much faster, much more sporty handling, much better made, and much.... MUCH better looking. MPG is 90% the driver, and 10% everything else.

@salemcripple Yeah but can you get 22mpg at 108mph? The Prius doesn't really require you to drive particularly carefully to return good fuel economy. You don't hit the EPA numbers but even if you drive like a lunatic you'd get really good mileage.

haha same here. i drive a v6 and they are always flying around me on the highway. topgear did a comparison between an m3 and a prius. the prius was going all out around the track and they had the m3 just keep pace behind it. the m3 ended up returning 19 mpg while the prius returned 17. its all about driving style and not the car
