@ajcrdstr24 Don't forget Frank got his bell rung pretty good and suffered a concussion during qualifying at Daytona. I'll put up that qualifying session eventually.
@de31168 - I'll have to check it out sometime. I always enjoyed when ESPN covered ARCA and Goody's Dash qualifying during the week. I think I was home "sick" from school on a few occasions.
David Keith hangs in there without third gear the entire race and makes a charge and pass for the win...in his second career start, and never gets a full time ride in a major NASCAR series. Baffles me.
@de31168 Thanks! This may sound wierd, but I've always wanted to see that half flip live! I just wonder what the comentators would say "uh, we got a car on its side!" lol
@de31168 - I've been looking for the 1999 ARCA Daytona 200 forever. I believe it's the one where Joe Cooksey hit the pace car. I appreciate all of your ARCA race uploads!
@ajcrdstr24 Yeah that's right. I'm really surprised that hasn't made youtube yet. Maybe just the clips have instead of the full race. Now i'm intrigued. I'll look for it tonight.
@de31168 do you plan on uploading it? i know it was a caution free event but id like to see it since it was the 1st race my dad went to.....he said it was so boring that when bill elliot blew his motor everyone in the stands got all excited and hoped for a caution!
@kingofrunescapepking yeah I hope we see another cautionless race soon. I think caution free at Bristol or Martinsville would be really interesting. Too bad NASCAR's gotten trigger happy with the caution flag the last decade - even though I noticed 2010 and 2011 had been a HUGE improvement over 2005 - 2010.
@erasetoimprove I agree about the cautions improving but look back to some races like the 1994 Brickyard, Ernie Irvan blows a tire down the backstretch and there is tire pieces everywhere. No caution. 1995 BGN at Talladega Jeff Green spins down the backstretch and slams the inside wall and keeps going, limps around to the pits, no yellow. Now you get a car slightly sideways and they're waving the caution.
Frank Kimmel winless in the first six races. That wouldn't happen again until 2007.

@de31168: If you are referring to the 1999 ARCA qualifying at Daytona, you already posted that video as "1999 Daytona Speedweeks Day 2".

@ajcrdstr24 He was related to Jeremy Mayfield. Enough said.

@de31168 - He wasn't a blood relative (brother-in-law)...but I suppose it is all about who you know...

I know alot of people are requesting things, but do you by anychance have the 1999 ARCA Daytona 200?
NASCARDesigns 4 weeks ago
@NASCARDesigns Yes I should. It's not a problem. Feel free to message me anytime with a request. I'll let you know if I do or don't have it.

@JRracing0116 Sure I'll see if I can find it and put it up for you sometime soon.
de31168 4 weeks ago
Wow. An ARCA race where nobody DNF'd due to wrecks. That's a rarity.
kingofrunescapepking 4 weeks ago
@kingofrunescapepking it's a rarity in NASCAR too
erasetoimprove 4 weeks ago
@erasetoimprove Not nearly to the extent of ARCA. There have been 3 caution-free races since 1997 in the Cup
kingofrunescapepking 4 weeks ago
@kingofrunescapepking 1997 and 2001 Talladega and 1999 Michigan come to mind.
de31168 4 weeks ago
@de31168 also 2002 EA Sports 500, the last caution free race in cup.
dansing763 4 weeks ago
@dansing763 I forgot about that one too. Hard to believe that 3 of the last 4 caution free races have been at Talladega isn't it?
