Yo that is dangerous. god forbid you had a bad take off and ended up under the train, but i have to be honest, at the same time that was a pretty fucking kick ass stunt!!!!!! Props to you!
I received the comment below in an email that I do not see posted here. If the train crews were in on what was going on (and Union Pacific won't be happy about that) then put a blurb on the video that says the train crews knew about the jumps. To answer the question - I enjoy life and I admire honest skill - I haven't said that Trevor isn't a good snowboarder. As for caring about other people - it is what I do. The Lord God asks that of me - and all of us.
@TheGent2 Actually, the engineer was honking his horn to let Trevor know when to go so he would be over the train at the right time. That was a maintenance train with only a few cars which means they can stop within football field lengths. The engineers aboard the trains at certain times were watching all day with even their own cameras pointed at Trevor jumping over them. What is life if you're not enjoying it? Stop caring about other peoples and go enjoy your own!
Dumber than Hell. The Lord God watches over children and fools. Trevor and his crew qualify as both. And he calls the engineer a fool. Ask any engineer or conductor who has killed an idiot like Trevor what a fool is. Trevor: until you grow up you are a complete waste of carbon.
@TheGent2 Hide in your house and never take a risk! How stupid can you be to even go outside and walk in the street! Don't you know that you might get hit by a car?!?!? or maybe a meteor?!?! This is a pretty famous jump. It has been done by many people over many years. I can also guarantee that they tested this jump MANY times before they timed it with a train. Get over your fears and have some fun. Bare minimum, quit telling others what they can/can't do. Don't you have something better to do?
@rmh31284 : You mean like respond to you? I will. Speaking of bare minimum I've climbed seaside cliffs wearing nothing but swimming trunks. Barefoot. The fact that this is a "famous" jump doesn't make it any less foolish. See if Union Pacific wants to sponsor this as an event. Now let's talk perspective. leaving my house-jumping over a train. An experience gap that makes the Grand Canyon look like a crack in a sidewalk. I'm not saying what can't be done. I'm advising it is foolish. Not the same.
@TheGent2 I am 200% sure that they understand the danger. in fact, I'm sure that was the #1 reason they did this here. They aren't asking U.P. to sponsor them either. The fact that it is famous means it has been done and there is much experience with it. I can guarantee you they were as safe as possible with this. If Trevor is a "waste of carbon" for doing this stunt then so is every other action sports person and you for "climbing seaside cliffs wearing nothing but swimming trunks. Barefoot."
@rmh31284 : I hope they understand the danger. And I agree, to a point: what I did back in my youth (I ended up in a cemetery and had to jog out of there.) was foolish - I don't discount the things I have done. God was kind in allowing me to survive some of them. He had more work for me to do, I guess. I will concede that the "waste of carbon" comment was said in anger, and I apologize. I've been a rail fan for years - and I've listened to stories from trainmen about the people they've killed,
@rmh31284 : I've seen people who do not realize that with a train you are never the windshield - you are always the bug - not realize how close they come to death. I've also seen the effect on those who can do nothing but let it happen. Most trains need at least a mile to stop - it can't "slam on the breaks". I was seeing the stunt from that perspective. The engineer who blew his horn was warning Trevor - who then called the engineer a fool. I'm sorry. That cavalier comment pissed me off.
I cannot believe those boarders are so careless with their lives! Just a little closer to that train and they would have been another statistic for us to quote. PLEASE don't go out and do things like this!
You play with the real trains you get hurt ! Only takes one to blooper to go splat,. . . . . or rip your arm off if ya snag a moving train . At least in the u.s.a. the majority of time hospitalization is PAY as ya go, not usually the taxpayers that will pay the tab !
Your video has recently been featured on America Now, about how the youth of America are recklessly jumping over trains and playing on train tracks.
